Aw, man. I was hoping we could all just have a little chuckle about it, maybe a little nudge, nudge, wink, wink, say no more....and then let it go. :(

Wolf is $5 a box at (my) Academy. 500 rounds/20 rounds box = 25 boxes.. 25x$5 = $125. Cheaper just to pick it up locally if possible and you don't need a sealed can or anything. YAMV.

This is neither the chat thread, nor the firearms chat thread, nor the place to advertise products with political messages. If you don't have a question or answer about someone assembling and AR, please consider not posting here.

I took a picture of it, saved to hard drive, and emailed it to them. Granted there's the 'o no somebody has a pic of my id', and then there's the 'eh fuck it, if anyone wanted my info they could find it easy enough'. Wideners does the same thing, Ammunitiontogo records your ip address. We're already tracked, I don't have anything to hide, I just want my boolitz for my fun range time and hd.

/eta kent: they seem to get a shipment every month. If they are out, just sign up for the email notification when back in stock. Same as BCM stuff :D

So this evening I ordered...

PSA 16" middy light profile upper (Premium, whatever that means) with MOE guard
BCM BCG
BCM charging handle with Mod4 latch
MIAD grip
STR stock
MOE trigger guard
Troy Battle Sight rear fixed

And my friend is selling his nearly complete DPMS mini SASS lower with a JP Enterprise two stage trigger to me for $150. Just needs the buttstock and grip.

Now when everything gets in I can finally have my first AR!

Okay, so what's the best way to get your barrel nut to cooperate and index correctly? The previous notch is too loose, but I can't get it all the way past the next one, close, but like a quarter-notch short. Any ideas?

UPDATE on my AR issues.....

After having the barrel assembly for 4 weeks, the gunsmith botched the flash hider pin & weld job BADLY. This is the second gunsmith to botch the job. :vmad: :vmad: But, the silver lining is the trijicon junk mount for my RMR stripped a bolt and was hopelessly attached in a bad spot on my rail and while I was screaming at the owner of the gunshop about the botched flash hider job, he got the stripped screw out of the RMR mound fo' free! So I left the barrel assembly with them and the owner promised the smith would re-do the job and get it right this time. (I have my doubts but he did sort of redeem hisself with the bolt removal)

(If you were wondering, he pinned the plash hider on about 140* away from the correct indexing and instead of using a file to smooth the pin down nicely he butchered it with an angle grinder. Even the reblueing job was a little half cocked....)
