How much length does a breacher choke add?

Post by BullOnParade » Mon Feb 25, 2019 1:10 pm

So I'm sending my 12" 870 in for choke threading and cerakote. I want to add a breacher choke to the end of the barrel and extend the mag tube to the same length, less an integral qd sling attachment.

I've built the tube already, extra long. I just need to cut off the excess and rethread it to the desired length, as soon as I know what that length is ... Anyone have a remchoke breacher tube (rem brand or third party) kicking around they can take a tape measure to and let me know?

Much appreciated in advance, promising pictures once the project is done.

I did a little Google-Fu workout and found that in the Q&A section for this: https://www.cabelas.com/product/Carlson ... QAWidgetID someone asked that question and the answer was 2"

No idea if that's pretty much the same on all such choke tubes but it's at least a starting point.
