Optic for 10/22 and AR 5.56

Post by zombieapocalypsegame » Tue Nov 24, 2015 7:13 pm

Hey all

I have a red dot for my AR since it's my HD gun, but I am now considering a scope for my son's Ruger 10/22 that I'd prefer to be able to go double-duty for either rifle with.

So, requirements are:
  • 2x to 4x magnification (nothing more specific here)
  • Ability to mount to 10/22 or picatinny
  • Inexpensive - I don't currently hunt, can't justify too big of an expense
  • Lightweight for a small 22 or an AR
  • Swappable in the field without special tools
  • Nothing electronic / battery powered

I'd just grab a Simmons at Walmart and call it good.
You go 'round and around it
You go over and under
I go through

You may need a riser on the AR to get the scope up high enough for a good checkweld......

I have a few of these Weaver 1-3x20 scopes. Nifty little glass that's fairly decent:

And a Pic rail for the 10/22 & some cheapy QD Pic rings:

Amazon lightning deal 1 1/2 hours left. $63 free shipping on a UTG Bugbuster 3-9x.

I got one for $83. And at that price it was a good value item, and you get those UTG QD mounts included with it.
