Actually I think under some circumstances people sometimes don't even know themselves, but that's a bit existential for this thread.

Waiting for 5.45 version, because I'm a special (shortbus) kind of cheap.

Slight issue with my order, so I'll just get one this fall. Still a sexy rifle though

Congrats to all of you that are getting a IWI Tavor! I would love one but I am trying to save up for a new house. IWI makes quality weapons and the Tavor is a prime example. I wouldn't have bought a Jericho/Baby Eagle II if this wasn't the case.

Well maybe someday I will purchase a Tavor. I have had my eye on a Springfield SOCOM II for ever though.

I got to handle a Tavor at the LGS last week. The thing seems really really nice from all my first impressions. It's got decent ergos, is really lightweight, and very compact. I'd probably buy one before I considered a SCAR.

And BeTheBall is the first kid on our block to take possession of an American Tavor:

And? Fit? Finish? Can you jam a 30 in it with the bolt closed? Pics are cool, but how is it?
Opinions subject to change in light of new information.

Fit and finish are excellent, and yes a 30rd mag will fit with the bolt closed. Ergonomics are amazing, economy of motion is excellent, and I'm pleased with the m21 optic. Having said that, I'll wait for range time and some use in classes to determine just how good it will be.
