I've shot a couple of them, one with the carryhandle, the other with the carry handle taken off and a C-More sight on top of the "receiver".

I'd never, ever, ever buy one, or recommend one. But hey, it's your money.

I've been kinda eyeing a 14" barreled, pistol-gripped 12g Mossberg "firearm". Same reason, just because I can.
I sold my soul to the devil for a .45, a black cowboy hat and a switchblade knife.......

What scabbard do you have? How do you use it (transport only, in place of a soft case, attached to a pack?) and how do you like it?
I have just a gun show special, made in china POS. but it works just fine to slide the shotty in and toss it in the trunk, it will keep attached a MOLLE bag or vest but hangs far down and is bulky and uncomfortable, it's easy just to use it as a cover to keep it from getting bitched up. Sorry to get back to ya so late.

Ever shoot one?

I'm loving the registered SBS "beater gun" back on the last page, myself. That's awesome stuff, right there.
Hey, I have one of those Mossberg bullpups.
It may not win any beauty contests (because damn if it ain't an ugly bastard  ), but it is pretty fun to shoot.

And as soon as Photobucket stops being a pain in my neck, I'll post a pic of it.

Fabricated a bayonet mount for it last year. (Imperial bayonet in pic)

The 500s aren't like 870s, where you can extend the magazine, they come in two different types, with a 20" "defense" mag tube and barrel setup (IIRC, someone here pointed out before that there's another barrel out there that uses the 7-shot tube, but I don't recall what it was), and the "sporting" barrels that use the 5-shot tube.
500s have a barrel that has a mounting screw that screws INTO the inside of the magazine tube. 590s have a mounting nut that screws OVER the outside of the magazine tube.

that should be the jist of it. 590s should also have a bayonet lug compatible with the M7, and M9
No one has a sense for the dramatic.

Didn't somebody on this board rebuild a Mossy pump with a Polychoke? I can't find the the pic, that was thing was kinda bad ass, IIRC.

It's not a 500 or 590, but it's close...

BTW, the 930 is awesome. I found that mine shoots everything, provided it doesn't have an aluminum rim. The extractor simply rips its way off the rim, requiring the manual extraction of the fired shell's hull. Otherwise, it'll shoot everything, regardless of powder charge, just fine.

Can't see your photo LJ126, neither on my PC or iPad... That said, since we're talking 930s now, here's my latest HD tool:

Image

Went in to get my blue ID card today (yeah, officially an ORF now) and swung by the BX on the way home... Had a 10% off any in-stock firearm sale going on, plus another 10% off if I put it on my STAR card...and of course no sales tax. And since it's clear my brother will perpetually keep "forgetting" to return my Mossy 500 Mariner, I relented and bought a Jerry Micaluc Edition 9+1 round semi-auto.

Will try it out manana and see if it'll cycle the lower recoil 00 rounds. If not, well, first world problem and I'll just have to load it up w/full power shells! It'll be a tough sell for a bedside weapon for the wife w/full power loads though... Which was kind of how I sold her on the idea in the first place! :oh:
