Marlin 60's are cheap, like $60-75 (or at least they were, give it a few more months) I would pick up another one. That way if something goes wrong you can use one of them as a parts gun. 22lr's are a staple when it comes to small game, and cheap practice.

The only other "gaps" I see are maybe a rimfire pistol.
Small bore rifle for varmints (.204, 22-250, .223, 220 swift, etc)
And maybe a larger bolt action rifle (300 WM, 338, 300 RUM, etc)
Also have to add a magnum revolver......mostly just because I love magnum revolvers! (not sure of your AO, but handy to put some birdshot in the first cylinder in case of snakes, and than hardcast rounds after for bears, cats, or two legged predators while hiking/camping)

But there isn't much that you can't do between the .243 and the .308, just smaller and larger chambering's that may be a little better suited to the job.

I'm going to catch hell for this, but maybe a higher quality pump shotgun. There is a lot of plastic parts in a Maverick 88. They work just fine, but they won't withstand the abuse that an actual 500 or a 870 will.

Just suggestions, because you seem to be pretty well covered.

Marlins havnt droped below $120 even before

5.45x39 and 243 would be small enough I think

Maverick 88 is more or less the same as a 500 and has never failed me

Revolvers id like to have again i sold mine for the 10mm

I would like a 22lr pistol once ammo becomes more avaible, id like a 300WM or bigger but its not a viable option for me at this time

Personally I think everyone should have an AR-15 based rifle in 5.56

Like I said. Mere suggestions.

Pre-panic I could pick up model 60's in my AO all day long for $75. $60 was a deal.

I guess the gun market sucks here, i paid $120 in novemeber but it was for a basicaly unused 2k11 model but people wanted $125 for old ones. Its hard to get deals here.

Personally, i´d concentrate on the probably easier to get mags (thinking one spare browning mag, not a very pressing issue at all, just in case. Spare 4-5rd hunting mags on many guns are usually expensive though...)

Otherwise, i´d browse brownells for some spare parts for your guns. Springs, firing pins and the like.

But only on a low amount of money. I´d simply put whatever excess "gun/ammo" fund you can come up with aside and wait for the other stuff to show up at reasonable prices. Or invest it into other preparedness items that aren´t overpriced like hell right now, you are well off firearms wise for most anything short of a "Worlds going to shit forever" scenario.

I´d also bite the bullet and buy a couple more 500rd packs of .22. If i was in your shoes, yes, overpaying 10$ per 500rd would suck but i´d be willing to do it for the peace of mind and buy like 2000rds more. Just because. (if you can spare the dough and don´t have more pressing needs)

As far as .22 is concerned, i´d also look for match ammo. If you are going to pay outrageous prices for some bulkpack ammo, you might as well buy some match grade SK Standard Plus if you can get them for a price close to the inflated bulk price (or Wolf Match, which is essentially the same/from the same factory...) or whatnot for the same amount of money as the once cheap bulk ammo fetches now because of demand. If you are going to pay "a lot" you might as well get higher quality stuff for the same price as "shitty" bulk ammo right now.

You´d have to investigate for yourself, but i´ve read that the higher grade .22 match stuff didn´t shoot up in price as much if at all compared to the usual plinking ammo.... Might be AO dependent though!

I just feel that a .22 simply is the bread and butter rifle for bad times, be it for bagging some chance small game or killing pests or predators attacking your garden/livestock. (mostly thinking of fox in the henhouse, of course: a bear vs. your cattle.... whole ´nother ballpark  )

It certainly was THE rifle for many during the depression in the 30´s.

I don´t know your budget though, so YMMV.

I may get a 5.56 once this is all over but its a tough caliber to get into at the moment and I'm not sold on the AR15 im Active Military (non infantry etc) so i'm familar with the weapon but all the semi auto longguns I have are right side direct chargeing handels and I load them the russian way with my firing hand and much prefer it, it feels so wrong when I have to qualify with the M16 or the M4. So I may get an AR or I maybe get a differnt platform in 5.56 later but for 5.45x39 and 243 can cover that area well i think.

Im still getting 22 ammo as it becomes avaible, i got about half what I have after the crazyness at normal prices either trading ammo or concert tickets or going to walmart at the right time etc.

I missed 333 packs by a few hours recently oh well.

Its still being made and will become avaible.

Im also looking in a Bow for my wife and I and maybe an air rifle

Bow will probaly be next purchase.

I should be moving in a month or two and buying a house that i can get a water tank and garden etc going

Id agree another mag for the browning would probaly be money

I do have some parts for the SKS and quite a few for the Glock put i should get some for some of the other semi autos

Instead of a second marlin 60 id probaly go for a take down model 795 or AR7 or something thats more compact

The ammo right know is easier to find then most calibers.

Grizzly right side or ambidextrous. Reciprocates though, so be careful.

Thanks, its something to consider.

5.56 wont be for a while and not until stuff becomes avaible again
And i dont feel i need it but i wouldnt mind getting into it when the time is right
But I was also considering for a 5.56 gun
SCAR L, FS2000, VZ 58, AK/Saiga/Galil, CZ 527, and others

On a budget maybe a SU16 or Mini 14

Is the only bolt gun rated for 5.56 the CZ 527?

Id like to be able to run 5.56 in what ever it would be.

IMHO it looks like you have pretty good coverage in the weapons department.. BUT are very short in the ammo department, I think 10k of ammo is a MINIMUM for just .22 caliber ammo and at least 2k in everything else. Also more magazines as well the minimum I have is 10 magazines for my walther P22. My M4 I have 2 beta mags and 20 30 round mags.

An AR15 with a .22 bolt is the best investment IMO for tons of reasons. 30 seconds to go from 5.56 to .22 and only s few more oz of weight for the conversion plus a mag or 2 and ammo. Plus great for training without spending .50 every trigger pull. Conversions with a single 25 rd mag are about $150

I buy all 22lr that i can find they will let me get and trade as well I have come up with about 1000 rounds since all this happen, i bought the 22lr in november and 1000 rounds and when i got money to buy more its no where to be found

If you know were i can get 8000 rounds of 22lr for an affordable price please let me know.

Most of the mags i need are much more than AR15, and much much more curently

FNAR mags normal price is around $50 right now they go for $100 +
AK-74 mags are $40-50 for surplus and some are up to $200.

Beta mags are expensive but the weight and expense wouldnt be practical for me.

20x$50 = $1000 that adds up quick, so i will get more when i can afford to, or when prices level out.

A mag is not required to fire most guns, i have removed the mag safety from the only gun I own that had one.

You need a Glock 19!

Seriously though, I think you're pretty well set, personally, I'd probably drop the hi-point and the maverick and pick up a 500 or an 870. Or maybe a duty size 9mm, like a Glock 17 or 19.

Glock 20 10mm (3 15rnd)
Kahr PM9 DLC 9mm (1 7rnd & 2 6rnd)
Hi Point C9 9mm ( 1 8rnd)
The only suggestion that I can make would be to get a high capacity 9mm or a .40 Smith. Since you seem to like the Glock I'd suggest the 19 since it's slightly more concealable than the Glock 20 that you already have.

The 10mm's great. I have a Glock 20SF myself and for awhile I could find 10mm ammo a little more easily than I could 9mm ammo (simply because 9mm ammo wasn't around at all). Not to mention that 9mm or .40 ammo is less expensive. Now that the shortages are going away for the most part I'd get at least one hi-cap 9. Been walking into fully stocked stores for the most part that have everything but .22LR and 10mil ammo.

Or you could pick up a .40 S&W conversion barrel (*Click*) for your G-20. .40 S&W ammo is going to be a little more readily available than 10mm ammo. Sometimes it might not be as cheap as 9mm ammo, but less that what 10mm goes for. I usually have to order 10mm ammo online and when I do find it locally it costs about 1/3 more.

I'd hesitate to call it a 'need' though since you have a couple capable pistols already, I'm just more talking about price and availability in combination with a higher cap magazine. In my opinion every gun owner should have at least one high cap 9mm pistol. Pistols are generally what you have in the event of a crisis based completely on size and concealability. Rifles and shotguns are better to defend yourself with, when they're out and about in an urban area they might have a long gun in their vehicle. However usless TS has totally Hit TF they're unlikely to actually be carrying it. Plus you might not be able to find 10mm ammo locally either and so you're screwed unless it's stacked deep in your home. So it stands to reason that gun owners should have at least one higher cap pistol that shoots an ultra-common caliber.

One everything else you're good.

More 5.45 (2,600 rds until you hit the magic 5,000 number) and 10mm ammo (600 rds so you hit the 1,000 rd mark) maybe?

ditch the hi-point for a g19
ditch the sks, you say 10 round fixed but it's pictured with a 20 detectable which will jam eventually.

Use any left over funds for ammo and the 40 sw conversion barrel.
