Hey all!

I just joined up after finding this thread via Google....

anyway- I have a RJ stock on order and I cannot wait for it! I also looked at the HTA's, and researched them both, and there is no comparison in my opinion.
The RJ design was 'thought out' and ergonomically tweaked. The High Tower is simply an FN 'clone' conforming to a 10/22. The main problem FN has with those is the exact problem Joe solved with 'stretching' out the front grip.

I watch the show simply to see the guns built -and I HATE 'reality' tv shows. Even though I'm not a red jacket fanboy- I gotta give it to them on this one.

I kind of hate how some stocks are so good you can't choose between just one. It makes it so you have to go out and buy a few 1022's sometimes :awesome:

HTA may as well be an Airsoft shell IMO.

That it might be, the sad thing is I think some air soft bodies are made of better polymer than Ruger's own synthetic stocks (Which is why I'd rather have wood if I had the choice). It's fun to play dress up though. :awesome:

The latest e-mail I got said that the RJ stocks would ship in November, and I was one of the first to order a stock.

What ever I highlight in bold is some important key features that you might like int the HTA stock.

Compact bullpup design
Aluminum Picatinny optics rail
Aluminum bedding block
Detachable ammunition storage box
Detachable dummy suppressor
Military grade polymer body construction
Steel ambidextrous charging handle
Steel trigger linkage
Two side mounted Picatinny rails for accessories
Fits standard and bull barrels at least 18" in length
Made in the USA

Fiber reinforced, custom blended polymer construction
Milspec hardcoat anodized 6061 machined aluminum optics rail
Milspec hardcoat anodized 6061 machined aluminum bedding block
Steel charging handle with black finish
Stock length: 21 1/2" long without 10/22 installed (not including dummy suppressor)
Overall length: approx. 26 1/2" long with factory 10/22 barrel
Weight: 3 lbs

That extra ammo storage will definitely come in handy.

Extra ammo storage; mock suppressor; smooth handgrips ... AND $70.00 cheaper! My money is on the High Tower Armory 90/22. Check out the latest at: http://bullpupforum.com/index.php?topic=662.180

How is the trigger on the ZK?

Depends on the original trigger that it attaches to......Which is why I have a Volquartsen trigger in the 10/22 that I'm going to drop in the ZK stock.

What he said.

The transfer bar design was awesome in the ones I tested and messed with. It reset well, and the trigger pull was mimic'd in the trigger of the bullpup. It won't be a perfect matched feeling but it was noticeably better with guns that had a aftermarket trigger (He had Volquartzens too iirc) than the ones that had a OOTB Ruger in it. Joe's a 10/22 fanatic and wanted to be able to put his super-modded whiz bang 10/22s in a bullpup stock and still feel the benefits of the good triggers.

Nice to hear. I hate the way the P90 looks, and if JT is praising an RJF product outright, I'm interested. Especially since it has a release date, and won't be subject to any copyright/patent infringement issues.

I don't think I'd get one for the price it is... I dunno, maybe I would. I'm not much of a 22 guy, but it is really fun to shoot. It also really helps with the long length of a 22 rifle with a can on it, if you have a thread-on can. I definitely want one, but I think I'd only get one soon, if I could get a deal.

Has anyone made an actual P90 in a .22 caliber? I feel that would sell like hot cakes with 50rd mags...

That's what I'm saying. It wouldn't be too much of a stretch for FN to produce a dedicated .22lr training analog version.

Yeah, but none of FN's P90/F2000 abominations are selling well enough to warrant a .22 analog

When did you order yours?

I ordered mine on April 26. Just wondering if they're going to send all the first run orders out at the same time, or in batches.

This guy doubts he will ever purchase anything affiliated with Red Jacket. I tried to contact them last year to have a Saiga 5.45 Galil clone built and never received a response. I took it in stride and figured they were getting slammed due to the show and blew it off. I tried to contact them about 6 weeks ago on the 10/22 stocks as I wanted one for my Son in time for his birthday and 6 weeks later still no response. I'll take my money elsewhere which is sad because I really like some of their products and enjoy the show quite a bit.

Such is life...
