I think the conviction was appropriate. There was also testimony from several neighbors that PR didn't get along with anyone and was constantly arguing over minor issues. One also testified that a year or more before the shooting PR had told her, "you can kill anyone as long as you say 'I'm standing my ground!', and 'I'm in fear for my life!'.." The exact words he used in his video of the confrontation.

Sure comes off as a d-bag who was looking for an excuse to "stand his ground".
