Your Firearms In Action (Photos, videos)

Postby Steve74 » Sat Jun 02, 2012 3:37 pm

I got permission to open this thread. Plinking photos, target shooting videos, range reports with pictures, let's see your firearms in action.

Here is a "zombie shooting video". (Yes, It's "ZombieSquad" under the target.)

Here is my .357 Mag revolver too.

Second video has the only malfunctions I've ever had with either SCAR. These were ammo/user related though, not a problem with either weapon.

Morgo, your collection of high end handguns never ceases to amaze.

On topic.

Good times. Still miss that 1911.

Please don't take this the wrong way Steve74 as I'm trying to be helpful and I'm not trying to be a "You're doing it wrong!" jerk. But you should really seek out some instruction in the use of firearms. You're grip, stance, trigger control (possible safety issue as you frequently have your finger within the trigger guard before you are ready to shoot) and...etc...could all use a lot of work.

Make videos, share it, we all can learn from it. :)

I'm far from being a Marine, but I know the safety rules and I just need more practicing. It was just a first try and the ladies behind me kept saying things like "are you done? are you finished? it's the last mag right? when do we go? just stop it and go". But it was more like a "let's test the guns if they work correctly and leave". I did hit all the targets, so I think it was alright for a first time and I learned a lot. But if you have advices, just send it to me in a PM and I read them. :) (I got the usual ones already, like "Square up your stance, slight bend to the knees and lean forward from the waist." and "Other then the chicken wing you might try to lean forward a little. It will help manage the recoil.". But I knew these already when I watched the videos at home, so I know I must work on these next time.
The weather is too hot to go back to the range now, though. 95 F.

thanks, man. it was a terrific morning. most of the young lady's experience, so far, is of the stand-still-and-shoot variety. this was really her first time shooting with any kind of time pressure. I spent a good bit of time at the start trying to get her using a 2-thumbs-forward grip. she got it, but under pressure, she reverted back to whatever grip she used before. ah well. seems like whatever bad habits I have, they get dialed up to 11 when I'm trying to get things done in a hurry.

I have video's of both of these, but for some reason whenever I load them the audio/video get out of sync.
