Be patient, it looks like they are getting them out as they finish them. And in the end, these are some very nice lowers. I am sorry that this group buy took so long. But at least it seems to have gone through with nothing more than the delays. I haven't heard about any problems with quality, fit, or finish from those people who have already gotten theirs. And if it is any consolation, I can't get to mine until the 29th, so you guys may still get yours before I do.

I played with mine while I was at the FFL's doing the paperwork... it appears to be a very nice lower. Looks like it used a screw instead of a pin to hold the bolt catch in, too...

I get mine on the 26th! :-)

I assembled mine Sunday and it is an Allen head bolt... My PSA trigger assembly kit fit beautifully in it. Passed the function test also, hope to shoot it soon.

I'm patient, but it's been a pain in the ass to keep the money in my checking account to cover the costs whenever they decide to finally charge it.

I told them to go ahead and charge my debit card as soon as I placed the order.

The only reason I didn't do that was in case something happened and the deal fell through.

Well, my account's been charged, but no shipping notice yet. That's at least some good news. Hopefully it will get to my dealer after the holiday weekend. :)

Just got home from the gun store. Picked up my precious. No shipping notice from the Post Office, but that's moot now. 8-) 8-)

Got the upper and lower. They fit together like a glove. Can't wait to (learn how) put this together. Now what caliber?

Thanks to monkeyboy for putting this together, and to QD for making them.

Cost me an extra sixty bucks and ten days on top of the price I'd already paid, thanks to living in the PRK, but it's finally home... now to paint the rollmarks and get to work.

I'm thinking a true M4gery, 14.5" barrel (with permanent 2" flash hider)... though maybe with lightweight magpull furniture...

Picking the caliber is always the hardest part. Hornady now makes ammunition specifically for zombies in 5.56. Or you can get crates of 7N6 Russian surplus ammo if you go with 5.45. Or you can pick one of the larger caliber niche cartridges like the 6.5, 6.8, or .300 Blackout. Or go big-bore and go for one of the .45 to .50 caliber loudenboomers. Let us know what you end up picking, and post a picture here when you get done. :)

Ye Gods... just got back from Addax Tactical... apparently they not only are out of stock on lower parts kits, but they don't have most of want I want for my upper, either... good grief! Guess this thing won't be ready for use by the weekend!

Okay, so RifleGear has two different lower parts kits in stock... a DPMS lower parts kit and one by RRA (which costs a little more).

Any advice as to which is best? Or, a link to a better kit that is also in stock (or will be reasonably soon)? From what they were telling me at Addax, parts of any kind are really hard to get right now...

This will be my first lower that I've built up myself, so I want to make sure I do it right...

Thanks!

Of the two, RRA, but PSA has cheap quality kits http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.ph ... c-lpk.html I bought a PSA kit for this build when they had a free shipping sale.

I have not, but I got several messages from Tom at QD on Friday about a problem with my card number, but I was out of town all weekend and they aren't open until tomorrow.
