Thanks, normally 57plymouth helps me out with targets and transportation or gear. But if you're going to PSA let me know, I might meet you there. We're going to have range day here on the 9th, 16th or 23rd with Doc66. We're just going to tune up for the class and have fun.omega_man wrote:Hey RG, my semester starts up again on the 11th--so if you need a hand putting targets together or anything else let me know. It's very likely I'll take a PSA field trip regardless.

Sorry, one of the reasons for this trip is to allow Doc to plan our day and he can't make the 9th. So it's going to be either the 16th or the 23rd. It's like pinning down jello, I know.omega_man wrote:I should be able to make it on the 9th.Regular Guy wrote:Sorry, 57plymouth is free on mondays, so pre training day/range day will be either the 9th or 23rd. I could be at the range until 5pm on Mondays. I have a class that starts at 6pm.

Once Doc66 decides on a pretraining monday, I'll let everyone know and we can rally at MCRC for shooting and fun.Redeyes wrote:I could be at the range until 5pm on Mondays. I have a class that starts at 6pm.
Just FYI, there is a Chinese buffet and a bar just up the road, so after the training day we can water our horses.

Mondays are much better for me anyway, so I can say I am 90% there.

So I'm in for the $5 sticks and targets. Also, I have two 24 packs of .5 L left over hurricane water I need to get rid of and a big cooler to put it all in so I will be bringing that with me. If anyone wants someplace to keep their lunch cold there should be more than enough room.

Looking forward to this one.

I'm torn between overt and ccw. Should do CCW, but overt is more fun.

Whatever you have less training time with is our recommendation.TDW586 wrote:I'm torn between overt and ccw. Should do CCW, but overt is more fun.
Best idea is to bring both and perhaps switch up. You are in a position to run either, depending on the mission/locale--so both count.

I'll most likely go CCW, I have less training time on that.

I posted earlier that CCW guys should probably run their rigs in this class; most people don't practice enough with that rig and this is the way to find out the problems with your gear and set up BEFORE something stupid happens. We have some drills we hope to run that are tuned to CCW holders, so rock that if you got it.

Re: Pistol Training Day with Don of Milcopp in SC Jan. 27th
I got a Comp tac Infidel iwb holster in the mail the other day for my new sig p226. It said for railed 226's, but this sucker does not fit. Even with the retention screws OUT it barely fits. Dunno if the combat model has some different specs, but anyway, if anyone going wants a free comp tac infidel/see if it fits their sig, holler and I'll bring it.
Not worth the hassle to me to return it, and I don't plan on buying any other sigs this year (which is a sure sign I'll buy two
). I don't mind giving it away to somebody if they'll get some use out of it.
Got a galco triton (what I use for my glocks) on the way instead. Also, Raven updated my order to 'printed'
which I think means they are ready to charge me and put my printed order on a stack this high...

Have you considered taking a dremel to the inside of that comptac and seeing if you can grind it out to fit your Sig?

Or grab a heat gun and reform it.TDW586 wrote:Have you considered taking a dremel to the inside of that comptac and seeing if you can grind it out to fit your Sig?

/facepalm
and no to either
I think the heat gun is the better option; it seems pinched down by the rail end. Dremel option would be removing a significant part, dunno what that would do to retention. I'll fool around with it when I get home. Derp

Derp, heat gun would work a lot better. Good call.
