Also, just for my own interests, what pistols are we planning on using? I know of Sig, FN, M&P, and Glock... will there be any others outside the normal Glock/Sig/M&P realm? 1911s?

I'll be bringing a Glock 19, Glock 26, Glock 20 and 29. I may bring the Sig 2022 and I will most definately bring my AR-15 pistol, for lulz and to run different drills to prove/disprove the internet as to it's utility.

Pistol Training Day with Don of Milcopp in SC Jan. 27th

I'll have my HK P30 .40 and my Glock 23 as a backup.

On a side note: My father picked up 700 rounds of ammo today for me from Palmetto State Armory which will be in my hands on Sunday. I can't wait for the class to start.

Glock 19 w/ Sig P226 as back-up. Still on the fence about bringing the Glock 29. I have plenty of 9mm that I was planning on shooting during the last class, whereas my 10mm stash is running low and I don't have funds to re-stock right now.

grumble
Some guy wanted to start a bidding war on the sig so I bailed. Seems friggin crazy that none of the shops in my area can find one from their suppliers. I might try another bid or two on the remaining ones on Gbroker, but I'm pretty set in my head I'll be bringing the g22 and 27 for backup.

Call these guys. They are the Sig Police rep for the area and usually have a trade in or two laying around. The last time I was there I want to say they had a couple 9mm 226 in stock. They are not showing them on the webpage, but that means nothing.

I'll be running a Glock19, and I am hoping to find a good deal on a G26, so I will HAVE a backup. :(

(EDIT: Or another 19)

There are still a couple up on GB, I'm trying to decide if I want to pull the trigger on one out of Chicago. Going to hit up Jeriah to see if he's heard of the dealer since they don't have as many reviews as I'd like to see (but the one's they have are good).

I may settle on the navy version since it has most of the same features and seems more available for some reason.

Well something is getting shipped in a box to my ffl, expected delivery Dec 24. Doubt the shop will be open/get to calling me until Monday (if I'm lucky). Fingers crossed it is what I ordered and not a FU note

I hope to all that is holy that you guys will be doing these classes still in another 3 years or so when I rotate back to the states. My pistol skills need learning, in a bad way (especially considering, after this assignment, I will have been away from CONUS, and therefore my tools, for the better part of 4 years  )

Well, I'm hosting this course and I'm a strong believer in keeping skills current. Keep an eye on the site, there will be more, as long as I can get Milcopp to come to Columbia, SC.

Should be 9 with me. The roster is in the op.

Okay, we have 1 slot left. If you're on the fence, just something to think about.

Pistol Training Day with Don of Milcopp in SC Jan. 27th

Post by Equuleus » Sun Dec 25, 2011 12:47 pm

Kinda funny story. I had my father pick up the ammo from PSA for me as that was the cheapest place I could get it from. Walk into the house yesterday and he says in front of the whole family, "don't forget all that ammo in the garage for your shooting spree."

EPIC.

Also, was it just the retail side, or do you "know people" there at PSA? I need to stock up on practice 9mm.

Sadly just retail. No connections, but no one else could beat the $12.95/box for 40 S&W in my area.

It looks like I will be able to make it. I have avoided posting until my manager took up the self schedule. It is looking good so far. If something changes I will let y'all know immediately. As of right now I am 98% certain I am in.
