So, taking some of these posts into consideration, it appears some of the dumbest things we ever hear are actually just gun hipsters talking about things we've probably never heard of.

To be fair, just because we've never heard of it doesn't mean it exists.

Granted, there are a lot of oddball calibers out there.

I said "some" as I've come to the conclusion that some of the people mentioned anonymously in this thread are, in fact, in possession of an extra chromosome when it comes to firearms. I think there's been two or three that were talking about something that did exist (but probably by coincidence), however.

My good freinds brother in law, who happens to be the biggest know it all, grade A d-bag I have ever met stopped by to show off his new varmint rifle. He told us about all the research he did on ballistics and bought himself the finest coyote/prairie dog caliber on the market. He then pulled a Remington 700 bdl chambered in 300 win mag. I about fell off the couch laughing. I feel sorry for any p-dog that is going to meet its demise to a 200 grain bullet! Chances are he will develope a flinch so bad after the first few shots he'll never hit anything anyway.

I used to catch hell from the guys at my old hunting club because my Rem 700 .308 had "Varmint" stamped on the side.
