Bow related instead of gun related. Built a rope spike release. Easier then my tab on the fingers. Just have to remember to aim low and left.

@brothaman
What kind of Anderson lowers? When I built my 5.56 AR, that was the foundation I used too.
This week I sold a shotgun slug casting mold since I never bought the shotshell reloader I wanted. I used the proceeds to pick up a 223 bullet mold instead. I'll try that out this weekend. Gotta get gas checks too but I think I might just get a check maker since I have plenty of aluminum hanging around.

Those were AR-15 mutli-cal lowers. Its my understanding that Anderson produces a double metric shit ton of lowers for other folks. No matter what its marked, It might be an Anderson lower.
Hey,.. I'll finally have an AR with a Pony on it!! Take that Colt!!

Went to one of the smallest gun shows I've ever seen, and brought home a M&P Shield 9, and a Blade-tech klipt holster.

LOOONNNGG time since I've been around. Randomly came back to search for a thread for some info. Glad to see this was still going and what seems to be my lasting contribution!

I bought one of these myself, but haven't yet found an application for it.91Eunozs wrote:Finally succumbed to the allure of a (relatively) cheap red dot... Bought a Primary Arms Advanced Micro Dot along with a Fortis absolute co-witness mount for my daughter's lightweight build "Pinky"
Really a fan of Aimpoint and Eotech for their durability, but since this rifle is mainly a range toy I feel pretty good about this purchase despite zero experience with Primary Arms.
Fingers crossed...
P.S. Also grabbed one of their "Mission First Tactical Torch Backup Weapon Lights" ... Mostly because it was cheap and I'm curious how it'll work as an indoor light. It's basically one of those keychain LED lights with a molded on picatinny rail mount:
I have to say, I'm dubious about its utility...if you need a light, you need a bright light to properly ID your target/environment. I can see it as a lightweight backup or if you're trying to preserve your night vision for some reason, but can't really think of a practical use for this thing. That said, I'm willing to drop $30 to play around with it.
I did however ziptie one of those tiny Photon lights to my Midwest industries handguard below my weaponlight as a goof, like a navigation light.

a buncha ammo for all the stuff we have. Not as much as I want to have around, but more than we had a couple hours ago.

When I die, bury me 8 feet under, so I'll still be lower than all my friends.

Got a Spike's Tactical "spartan" multi caliber lower at aimsurplus.com, here's the link to it: http://www.aimsurplus.com/product.aspx? ... oupid=5379
for $89.95 with free shipping. During checkout, if you don't have an FFL, you can select from a list of licensed dealers in your state to do the transfer. The FFL address, phone number, and fee is listed. I selected one near me that charged $25. AIM shipped it the next day and the dealer called me when it arrived. I picked it up four days after my order. I like the unique selector markings. Still saving for the rest of the parts, but they can all be shipped directly to me. I am looking at a complete rifle kit from palmetto http://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-16-m ... e-kit.html for $399.99.

- Favorite Zombie Movies: so far zombieland because i think it accuratly depicts what a zombie could be like. not a dead becoming undead, but an infected human... kinda like a dog with raibies. even tho signs of other survivors were non existant in the movie except for the 4 main characters and bill murray...

A Trijicon MRO Red Dot Optic with low mount for my FNH PS90.
It is built like a tank, being able to withstand a wicked beating and still hold zero, is waterproof down to 30 meters (100ft), has a 2 MOA Red Dot, and battery life is 5 years of continuous use (Left ON) on brightness setting 3!

Smokin' deal on 300BLK at PSA through tomorrow: http://palmettostatearmory.com/pnw-arms ... tip20.html
I bought enough to get the whole crew through next months hog eradication at my buddy's ranch, plus enough to have some range time for everyone beforehand.

I got my first handgun (viewtopic.php?f=107&t=2833&p=2628765#p2628765), and had the opportunity to score some ammo for a bargain.

I was unsorted stuff, so I just sorted to into Wadcutter, FMJ ball and various JHP. Also, I didn't count it, I weighed it. That's 37 Kilos of .45ACP. I paid 100€.
