I didn't really mean to, but I now have a TLR-1 light for my handgun.
Was selling some ammo, asking $100. Guy offered me the light in trade. Pretty happy with it, though the cash would have been nice.

Crimson Trace green laser for the wife's XD. Her prescription makes it difficult for her to see the sights and the target, hoping this will help.

Sort of firearm purchase. Bought Devcon and receiver bedded my no4 Enfield. Hopefully to help tighten up some groups and make the fun rifle a bit more fun!

Re: What have you bought in the last 48 hours?(firearms rela
Finally succumbed to the allure of a (relatively) cheap red dot... Bought a Primary Arms Advanced Micro Dot along with a Fortis absolute co-witness mount for my daughter's lightweight build "Pinky"
Really a fan of Aimpoint and Eotech for their durability, but since this rifle is mainly a range toy I feel pretty good about this purchase despite zero experience with Primary Arms.
Fingers crossed...
P.S. Also grabbed one of their "Mission First Tactical Torch Backup Weapon Lights" ... Mostly because it was cheap and I'm curious how it'll work as an indoor light. It's basically one of those keychain LED lights with a molded on picatinny rail mount:

I have to say, I'm dubious about its utility...if you need a light, you need a bright light to properly ID your target/environment. I can see it as a lightweight backup or if you're trying to preserve your night vision for some reason, but can't really think of a practical use for this thing. That said, I'm willing to drop $30 to play around with it.

- Favorite Zombie Movies: so far zombieland because i think it accuratly depicts what a zombie could be like. not a dead becoming undead, but an infected human... kinda like a dog with raibies. even tho signs of other survivors were non existant in the movie except for the 4 main characters and bill murray...

It's made, marketed, and sold as a backup light.91Eunozs wrote:Finally succumbed to the allure of a (relatively) cheap red dot... Bought a Primary Arms Advanced Micro Dot along with a Fortis absolute co-witness mount for my daughter's lightweight build "Pinky"

Well that was quick! My order from Primary Arms is already here...showed up yesterday as I was leaving for work!
I'm sure the fact they're here in TX helped speed things along but man... They're as fast as BCM!

Bought for my significant other, but was delayed
It's happened with my last 2 purchases from a store, basically ever since I bought a long gun on 9/11 in 2014, it's her christmas present... fortunately I bought several others in case this happened.

Finally managed to get hold of a AWM Stock for my Accuracy International Target Rifle

Its needs some gunsmithing, as this chassis only has a 308 Magazine, and I need to fit a 7.5x55 Swiss Magazine instead.
But the fit is perfect otherwise!
(I've also got the stock sides in Black, and Desert)

I ordered a set of Meprolight Tru Dot night sights for my Glock 21 and should have them some time next week.
Now I just need to find a gunsmith in my AO to install them on my gun for me.

And then there was that one time I went a little crazy on ordering ammo.
I'm stocked for 9mm for a while.

Paid for it a bit back but just picked up the cards, bought a year group membership to a local range for myself & the wife, went halvers on it with my boss & his GF. Killer deal, range time whenever we want, the ability to book ahead, plus discounts on the merch & classes etc.
