Jentra Clip SUCKS.

Post by Sheol151 » Fri Feb 13, 2009 11:11 pm

I probably should have followed my instinct on this one, but...giddy with a new weapon i bought a Jentra clip for my glock 26.

It was on the weapon for about 20 minutes before i took it off and put it back to stock.

Anyway, not comfortable to carry, maybe if the actual clip part was further toward the rear of the slide.
Not comfortable to rack the firearm.
Not comfortable to practice drawing with.

Just a horrible device. The $30.00 would have been better used buying a new mag or ammo.

So now, i'm going to look for a Comfortable IWB holster. Wanting to carry "mexican" (??? I think thats the term). Oh well. Don't buy this POS.

That's nice, Crypto.

This is also a clip, designed to obviate the need for a holster:

I have toyed with the idea of one of those for my 1911,however it seems to me that "reholstering" might be problematic.I just purchased a real holster instead.I also thought there might be issues with slide operation etc.

LOL, I remember the only time Sarah Silverman made me laugh was when she said, "That's classy as shit."

I shot a J-frame with a clip similar to what you described and liked it. I guess it's just better suited to revolvers.

You swap it with the slide cover plate I'm guessing.

That just looks like a bad idea.

Yeah that looks better. I've seen these before, but never read a review. Any input Dave? How stable is it?

The clipdraw works pretty well on a Glock and is reletively safe as long as you use the trigger lock guard with it. The Clipdraw attaches to a Glock using the two screws on the back of the slide. They also sell a version that can be adapted for any semi-auto or revolver. These attach using a patented 3M double sticky tape (read the site for all the lowdown on that) that will take up to 20lbs of strain. I'm looking into purchasing a couple, however, I don't know how safe it will be on my P239 or my wife's P2000 as they don't make one of those nifty trigger locks for our pistols (that I have found).

My bro-in-law uses one on his G36 religiously (for the past couple of years) and has yet to have any complaints.
