That is a spot on article.

I'm an optometrist and a shooter.

I help out a lot of shooters:

older law enforcement folks who may have a hard time qualifying because of eye sight problems

competitors

hunters who struggle with their glasses while trying to use their scope in the cool fall weathe

red dot sights work terrible if you have uncorrected or undercorrected astigmatism. The dot will look like a big ugly snowflake or spiderweb.

How old are -your- glasses???
etc etc etc.

There are a lot of tricks...depending on how old you are, iron sights/scopes/red dots
