As with most brand-specific reports of problems...it ain't always the case.

Many of those Kimbers are gorgeous workhorses. Mine was fantastic right up to the point when I sold it because I needed the dough.
YMMV. Cycle the sucker in and see what goes on.

Just curious why you'd want to do that.

Well, when it comes to thumb safeties I'm really used to a 1911 hold, which you put a bit of pressure on the thumb safety. The issue I had a few times was putting to much pressure on the lever causing it to decock/slightly disengage the action and become temporarily inoperable.

I see, but wasn't aware people used a grip like that.
I've taken to the floating thumb method from shooting Sigs with touch slide releases. I use the decocking lever quite a bit on both Sigs and HKs.

I like decockers a lot. I just don't want one on my gun if its going to cause an Elmer Fudd moment. I like the HKP30 style over the HK45. The P30 has a small lever directly left of the hammer for the decocker. No using the thumb safety as a thumbrest hold decocker issues that way.

I'm with you. I prefer the de-cocker to avoid any panic/middle of night confusion. I keep one in the tube with it de-cocked and the safety off. First round D/A all succeeding rounds S/A.

Freedom Munitions GTG? Need to drop some coin on ammo and they've got 9 in amounts I'm interested in.
Otherwise I could go GA with their canned heat.

Generally. Couple reports of bulk ammo coming with a few crushed cases (1-2 out of a thousand) during the crunch, but not in statistically significant numbers. I think Chris@MTCT said he's run a few thousand of the 9mm with no problem. I haven't had an issue with 'em either.

It's that smug, superior attitude of theirs, strutting around in their fancy outfits like they're better than everyone else. Yeah, burn in hell, you snobbish bird bastards.

Was dry firing my G19 last night . I get a bit of "glockfinger" from the triggerguard where it contacts my middle finger . I took some sandpaper and radiused and smoothed out that area and it made a noticeable difference ,
I stopped myself before I went too crazy , but am seriously considering undercutting the triggerguard , and knocking down the fingergrooves .
This calls for a very special blend of psychology and extreme violence - Vyvyan

KSG and Sub2000 are in my house. KSG is a damned solid gun. Sub 2000 is plastic fantastic and is representative of KelTec's well deserved reputation.
I gotta get 'em both kitted up (and take an exacto to the Sub2000 to get rid of plastic mold lines, etc) and get some test rounds into the Sub2k.

Anyone know "The Man" to do a complete bedding job? I'm looking over my Swedish Mauser and feel its out of my league to do so.

Installed the new detent plate, so now she is "1911 mode"... 2 minute mod but shit that detent plate is a bastard to get back in. Need 11 hands to do it. One to push against the spring tension on the plate and line up the peg. Another hand to hold the punch, and the last hand to tap the fucker back in gently with the mallet.

Okay, does anyone know how I am supposed to get this 4th gen trigger housing G30275 with the G30274 ejector in my gen 3 Glock 19? Do I have the wrong part? Is there a 3rd gen trigger housing with a 30274 ejector? The fucking pin holes won't line up.

And with that, I'm now part of the govt. shut down. Ahhhhh.....unpaid leave.

That sucks. Any word from the local ATF on whether this affects the number of people processing stamps? I'm assuming that's a non essential function:(.

Unless it's federal LE or .mil, good luck. Non-essential.

Guess I'm glad I work for state gov't.
Still keep looking for a fed position, though, despite the popularity of shutdown these days.
