Cold Brew Tea

Postby Anianna » Tue Aug 02, 2011 2:48 pm

For those of you who enjoy tea but may miss out when heating water isn't feasible, you can still have your tea. We were recently introduced to Twinings cold brew teas and my husband, the tea drinker, thinks the English Classic tastes pretty good. He's a southern boy raised on Lusianne, btw. The Twinings is super easy to make and brews cold, so is great for any situation where you may have water but heating it may not be possible or feasible. I love how easy it is to make and that it takes less resources. If you can't find it locally, Amazon carries several flavors of the Twinings cold brew teas.

Thanks for the recommendation. I've seen these in the local grocery stores, and have been meaning to try them.

As a new convert to cold tea, I tried the Liptons cold brew which wasn't bad at all. I suspect the Twinings though is a lot better and I shall keep an eye out for it, thank you for the heads up.

Might have to give the Twinings a try.

hmm nothing better than some sun brewed tea. After a long day drop in some ice cubes and drink away. :D

I used to make sun tea, often, but after I realized that the cloudy strings of stuff you see in the tea jar after 2 days in the fridge were bacteria, I stopped. I'll boil water before I make tea.

But, if you feel like making it anyway, you should also try cold brew coffee, made over night. It's got a fantastic flavor.
