Hello from Virginia Beach, VA

Postby Shebear_two-cubs » Sat Jun 09, 2012 2:24 pm

Greetings everyone,

My name is Sam and as my name suggests I am an old married lady with two adorable cubs, 11 and 7 yr-old boys. (As a matter of fact, I am playing chess with the youngest as I'm typing.... nope nevermind. Too boring to play when mom insists on following the rules.) My husband has been on ZS as Shulatt for almost a year and is tired of me lurking over his shoulder. He is ummm... strongly encouraging me to 'make my own face' and post things myself. (To the point of logging me on today to read his mock bug out thread and keeping kidlets busy watching him play 'Angry Birds' on his phone so I can introduce myself.)

I wanted to join Zombie Squad in order to discuss prepping, self-reliance, and sustainable living among other topics. I have already learned quite a bit just reading Forum Topics and look forward to conversing with others of similar interests.

So that's a bit about me. Hope to be back soon! (Need to go do some stuff in Mundania...)

Welcome from the NOVA area. :)
Does your BOB at least have: water, basic tools, fire, food, first-aid kit, and shelter?

Thank you kindly, sir! Both for the welcome, and for praise for my hubby's writing. (I think he's a wonderful poster too.---We'll have him blushing if we keep it up :) We edit for each other quite a bit, so I hope you will like my stuff as well.

BTW, I have always admired your "cute and fluffy" avatar...

Off to wander and see what trouble interesting topics I can get into...

Couldn't agree more. It is a precision weapon. It will jam at the precise moment you need it the most. :)

Thanks for the welcome Kevin, Stimpy, Last Knight, Wee Drop, and Cipher.

Cipher, love your signature. Ben Franklin rocks.

WeeDrop, thanks for posting your sheep-herding stuff. I didn’t know that’s why sheep had their tails docked….

Last Knight, stay safe and stuff. Thank you for your service. BTW, ever do any historical recreation?

Stimpy, your avatar pic is ummmm…interesting, a bit scary but interesting. Something about the flashing eyes…

Kevin, I love your avatar pic. Optimus Prime is one of my favorite Autobots.

Ok, I get to leave kiddies in their Daddy’s capable hands (duck tape not included) and head to school to pick up my textbook without Tagalongs….
Thanks again for the welcome everyone,
Shebear

That's a negative, Ghost Rider. I seem to be lacking the time or the money whenever the opportunity comes along - time when I'm working, money when I'm on the beach. :)
