I enjoy this forum a lot!

I'm an older guy who doesn't act his age, probably out of fear of slowing down....

I'm into the following hobbies, no order of importance: backpacking, offroading-overlanding, mountain climbing, mountain biking, firearms, canyoneering, exploring old mines and other structures

I'm a commo guy by education and experience but I always am intrigued by a good challenge.

I'm not in such great shape, I love my Diet Coke and chocolate zingers in the morning! I've just learned to put my whining in a box and press on. Eventually you get in better shape becaue you don't readily give up.

Southern Cali, Ya'll! LOL

I like Washington state a lot!! I've been on Rainier 3 times, hiked a lot in the Olympic peninsula, done trail work at Rattlesnake Ledge, rafted on the Skagit, snowshoed all over Mt. Baker and hiked a bunch at Mt. St Helens. I've not been up there in a while though...

Unless there is a forum rule or custom against it I've changed it back. I know there are people out there who are overly sensitive about such minor things so I can go with the culture here. I was born in a different state anyhow.

The funny thing is that I was down that way last week but not in my 4Runner.

I do like the area and still want to explore more. The land navigation class that I wrote about in my blog was down south towards the border.
