New user from Florida

Hello!

After the zombie-relevant attack(s) in Miami Florida, I quickly hopped online and purchased Max Brooks', "The Zombie Survival Guide". I've been preparing ever since finishing it and I really wish my friends & family would prepare as well, but unfortunately are not...I need support from open-minded, zombie-killing driven people to meet up with if Z-Day does indeed happen.

I am unfortunately unemployed, so stocking up on whats needed has been a slow and arduous process...I have been able to purchase some supplies and close-combat weapons. It has been easy (for me) to forget about preparing, thus the reason why I joined this site. (To be reminded to keep preparing, that it could still happen...)

I would absolutely love to make some friends on here, especially in Florida, and plan on discussing ways to prepare for a zombie invasion. Thanks! ~Shay

Where in Florida are you located? I'm in Florida as well. I don't have money stuff either so I'm working on skills. At the moment it is sewing and quilting.

The CDC has a page on zombie preparation maybe you can show them that.

Thanks! I live just about an hour west of Gainesville. I have family here, in Tampa and in Pensacola. I am also here to find more inspiration for a zombie survival story I am trying to write.

As you may know, we use zombies as a metaphor, for the worst disaters... Most of us here don't actually expect real zombies to appear. Moto being- if you are prepared for a zombie apocalypse, you are prepared for anything

But as you look around here, you will see we love zombie fiction, zombie killin' tools, zombie theories, and any other zombie nonsense... But the serious side is preping for actual, likely, real things, that might happen... Like even, not having a job & still getting by.

Sweet! I go there a lot to watch movies. (Never a big crowd) In my story, my character will be traveling down Hwy 19 to get to Tampa (eventually). If I have some questions about the terrain, or certain buildings, could I get the answers from you?

There's quite a few of us here that live in Florida. You should also check out the ZSC:017 (Florida Chapter) section of the forum and introduce yourself there too.
