Completely understand building your own antenna. However, sometimes its better to just go commercial and get it done.
I'd recommend something from Chameleon Antenna like the link below.

Re: Small generators
The type of device mentioned above (& there are several brands) do work very well when properly installed. They are a useful resource for anyone using a generator to run a large AC motor. https://www.amazon.com/Hutch-Mountain-Microair-Easystart-Conditioner/dp/B08Q7N7MFM/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords...

Re: Small generators
Depending on the RV you are looking at and the number of air conditioner (AC) units it will have and you plan to operate you will need to plan accordingly for the total output of your generator. However, if the RV does not already have it you will want to look into a softstart type device to add to ...

The coating on the lower does nothing for the strength of the actual lower the strength of the material is what is it. However, different types of finishes will withstand more abuse than others. Just some quick information about radio antennas. The size or connection type of the antenna does not directly indicate the quality or the effects on transmission range of the radio. There are several factors involved that can effect range depending on the radio frequency band, transmission power le...

Re: Gas masks
Just curious, why a gas mask? Other than chemical agents like tear gas or pepper spray what systems would you have in place to let you know you need the mask? Military and law enforcement have procedures and early warning systems to tell them to deploy a mask. You can't live in a gas mask long term....

Re: Lower parts kit question
One other thought. Keep in mind you will need a small hammer and a punch set to complete the lower. If you don't have one or don't know anyone that you can borrow them from you can use the ones in the following links: 8 oz. Ball Pein Hammer https://www.harborfreight.com/8-oz-stubby-ball-pein-hammer-...

Re: Lower parts kit question
Some if the parts you will choose depend on what type of complete AR you are looking to complete. Do you want a carbine length rifle? Or will you want a longer barrel to complete a full rifle length AR? Below are the basic parts to complete your lower for a carbine. Brownells is having a sale this w...

For what it's worth I worked in law enforcement for 18.5 years. Carried fully loaded 18 round magazines everyday. Cycled out the ammo and filled them back up during range qualification. Still have the same exact magazines and I have never had to change a single spring, follower, floor plate or magaz...

Just curious if you have considered treating your clothing with something like permethrin? If you are regularly venturing into area prone to ticks this can be an effective repellent.

There are a lot of variables in play here we would need more detail to help diagnos the issue.
What version of CHIP and Mac OS are you using?
Are you using a Yeasu cable or a generic third party? If you are not using a Yeasu cable what make and model cable are you using?

I realize it's a 20W rig but for the price I would really suggest people save up a few more dollars and get an Elecraft KX2. A good antenna with a quality feedline makes all the difference. While I do not have any of the specific models that you have listed. I do have game cameras from each of those manufactures. The best advice I can give you on game camera's is that you do tend to get what you pay for to a certain point.
