Here is the place for that discussion. http://zombiehunters.org/forum/viewforum.php?f=18" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Do a search. There are threads on that topic already. Many of them rightfully belong in either that subforum, or the thread graveyard. That is also an excellent po...

Im actualy nit trying to shit up the thred just tierd of people saying a .22 cant be usedbas a mbr or any form of pdw People say that, because it's never been done for anything but unsuccessful gimmick guns that have never been picked up by any Modern Military or LEO. Well. That was pretty blatantly against the rules. When I'm not on my phone, or I can get someone else to look at this, expect a pm.

Man I wish I had a serious answer, dude. I'd ask your wife's mother, probably? If your wife is up on this stuff, it only stands to reason some older member of her family would be even moreso? I have no idea.

Please keep us posted though, I'm thoroughly enthralled. :ohdear:

Well then, I recommend you put that ten year old to work on some webcomics. Money to be made.

We expected fair, unbiased reporting, and they gave it to us. My, how things change. That was a (widespread) development of the mid 20th century, and compared to the majority of the existence of The Written Word, widely disseminated information today is exponentially less biased than it ever has be...

Re: Mosin Nagant thread???

I get why people buy and collect them, I have a couple myself as I'm a collector. I don't allow historical interest to blind me to some of the problems they have though. Ding, ding, ding! I plan to buy another M39 for karma's sake, and still -really- want to get a crate of Mosins. A dealer buddy of...

Re: Mosin Nagant thread???

The "ignorance of variation" thing cuts both ways. Most of the people I see talking about how awesome mosins are have a mid war round receiver and know which arsenal it was made in, and that's about it.

Also consider that the VAST majority of them ARE shitty wartime Russian rifles.

Re: Nosy Shopper turns armed assailant

If I had wasted my time fumbling for a weapon of my own, I'd probably have been shot by now. That's likely only true because you haven't trained with a weapon to the same proficiency you've reached with your hands, but I'm glad you've never had to shoot anyone. Nobody needs that. Neddog is right. I...

Re: The All Purpose AK Thread

Id say it was the ammo. Its not terribly uncommon for the rim to seperate when these failures occur. I doubt its your extractor if it was trying to extract, plus it broke the rim from the casing. If it was out of battery than the rifle wouldnt have let it fire, as the hammer wont strike the pin whe...

Re: Nosy Shopper turns armed assailant

Armchair quarterbacking it, I think the best tactic would be to close the distance with him and try an inside strip on the pistol. At the very least you'll have his gun hand in yours and can try to control where hes aiming. I can do an inside strip but I dont think I'm ninja enough to hit the mag r...

Nosy Shopper turns armed assailant

This happened right near where I used to live, and I read a good write-up of it by Greg Ellifritz. Was curious what the rest of you thought. Imagine standing in line at the grocery store waiting as your spouse pays for your purchases. As your spouse keys in the pin number for the debit card, a man b...

Re: Mosin Nagant thread???

Perhaps I'll think better of high points after they survive the next world war. :D I'd take a HiPoint over numerous Military Issue pistols that survived WWI or WWII. At first I was thinking ... ' like what? ' (as most of the ones I normally think of are pretty good), then I remembered a few that ca...
