Re: What are YOU currently lusting after? (firearms related)

14.5 inch midlength AR upper .

Wish I could find someone willing to trade for my CMMG 14.5 in lightweight carbine upper . I run irons only on that rifle and would like the extra sight radius .

Re: Range time with the Tavor.

I have not wanted a new military style semi auto for a very long time . I am quite content with my pair of AR15s .

I really want a Tavor . :P

Re: Are you good with what you have ?

My inability to continue to amass arms , compete and take training classes forced me to reprioritize . I got in far better shape and started training in martial arts again (sayoc kali and muy thai) overall I consider myself to be much better prepared for what life throws at me . That said , I am cer...

Re: Are you good with what you have ?

The point of starting this thread in the first place was to make people asses their wants vs their needs . When i realized that what I own , may be all that I may conceivably own for the long term , I had to give that a lot of thought . It ca be as simple as - are your priorities as a prepper or a c...

Are you good with what you have ?

I have a little thought exercise for everyone . Watching people deal with the newest panic got me thinking . A bit of backstory first . I got divorced and moved 3 years or so ago . Along with this came a career change in which my income took a very large hit . I foresaw this happening and prepared a...

Re: Firearms CHAT, the whateverth

My Baby Eagle was the most accurate handgun I have ever fired . It was my primary for several years and never had any sort of failure that I can remember . I sold it to a friend while trying to streamline my collection and regret doing so . If I ever find one with a frame mounted safety , I will not...

Re: The ZS collaborative Fixed Blade Recommendation Thread

I have actually been looking hard at the Instigator and it will likely be what I end up getting . It looks like the sheath seriously sucks for it . Does it even have a clip ?

Thanks for the input . :D

Re: Old timers- King of the apocalypse

For several years the only centerfire rifle I owned was an m1 Carbine .

I felt pretty well armed .

It is easy to forget that any one of these rifles will put you ahead of the game versus 90% of the population .

Re: What are YOU currently lusting after? (firearms related)

I have a strange desire for a H&K USP Compact in .45acp . It is one of the few HKs I have shot that I really liked , and I think it has a great blend , of size/weight/firepower . But , that said there is no damn good reason for me to want one . I no longer stock 45 ammo , gun is expensive , mags are...

Re: What was your first Handgun?

On my 21st birthday , I walked out of the gunshop with a brand new MKIII Browning Hi Power in 9mm .I had wanted one since I first became interested in handguns as a kid . I shot the hell out of it , . Eventually I added Novak sights and a ton of Cylinder and Slide parts . A few years later I got in ...

Re: I am Now a Glock Believer, Any Others?

Put me down as another who hated Glocks because they were ugly and did not "feel" right . I spent thousands of dollars on customizing 1911s and Hi-Powers and CZs and Sigs to get them exactly how I wanted them . Then one magical day , I took a friend's challenge and shot part of a pistol course with ...

Trade for a Commander sized 1911 , then you can keep your mags and ammo .

Or just do the sensible thing and get a Glock 19 .
