+1 on what travis said. If this dealer is worth his salt and wants your business,he will not mind doing a basic field stripping of the rifle for you and let you inspect the parts. Especially if this is a used weapon.

Re: Recoil difference between 9MM and .40 S&W rounds?

Also, where the hell have you seen anyone using a decocker on TV? :D[/quote] Just once. In the movie "Training Day". In the beginning of the movie Ethan Hawke is getting ready to leave his house. He puts a mag in his Beretta, chambers a round and then decocks the weapon and holsters it. But you are r...

Even thought I prefer the .40 S&W round, with continuous improvements in ammo design I would not feel under gunned with the 9MM round.

I live maybe 50 yards from a Wal Mart Supercenter. Too bad they use compactors, the food they throw away just because it says "expired" could probably fill a small grocery store.

I believe if you contact your states DNR,they can send out someone to tell you what you've got on your land, like types of trees, give you a rough estimate of the deer population, where the best place to put feeders, that sor...

Pretty damn nifty. And I don't think you'd need to reinforce the treads, at least not that much. Those look like some pretty thick hardwood treads. And last I checked, drawers don't just roll out on their own. I dunno, maybe the really cheap-ass crappy Home Depot slides do, but in general, drawer h...

That is an awesome idea. The only thing that concerns me is the drawers coming loose over time and rolling out as someone is going up or down the stairs. Oh yeah, and cats. My cats love to hide in places like that,so it would be my luck that one would sneak in while I'm not looking and get trapped in...

Thanks for the opinions everyone. I also have a H.A.W.G They do look similar in size, but upon closer inspection,it turns out the H.A.W.G is about 800 cubic in. while the Cyclone is 1900 cubic in. Dak,you are right about not being able to attach a sleeping bag or mat to the H.A.W.G I slide my hiking ...

Blackhawk Strike Cyclone

Just wondering what some of you think about the Blackhawk Strike Cyclone pack. Do you find it large enough for your needs? I'm looking for this to be my main bug out bag, wanting something large enough to hold five or six MRE's,a shirt or two and various survival gear. I'm trying to plan my bug out g...

My cat almost met a similar fate a couple of years ago. I'm by myself and all of a sudden I hear glass breaking. Its amazing how fast you can go from calm to hyper excited. I listen for a second, then get up and grab my Hk P2000 and my mini mag lite. I fumble for a second turning on the light, and he...

I fit and dispense glasses and contacts for a living. Does your dad wear bifocals? Have him talk to his O.D. His O.D. can prescribe a pair of glasses just for trips to the range. Another solution might be a Crimson Trace Laser Grip. You still want to train with the sights, but a laser sight can help ...
