Re: Tape switch question

Glad I could help some. That's the reason why I'm not really interested in the other surefire models besides the 6p and g2. I know I can easily get a cap and switch off of ebay for cheap,if I ever decide to mount them on a rifle. Personally I would prefer to own one of the surefire models that were ...

Re: Tape switch question

The only aftermarket caps with tape switches I've seen have only been for the g2 and 6p series. As far as small handheld lights go,I mean. You're best bet would be to contact surefire customer service and see if they make one.

Re: 7 years later, how would you react?

Of course I would like to help as many people as I could. Taking a local Red Cross class is one thing, but I don't have the training to rescue people from a building that is not structurally sound and can fall down around you any second. These people would have injuries that require people with a lot...

Re: How did you react that wretched day?

I had gotten to work a little before 9:00 A.M. I was in the breakroom having my before work smoke when an employee came in and said something about terrorists blowing up the Empire State Building or something. I just thought "huh" and went to clock in. When I got to my department the manager was lis...

J, it IS a waste of the cops' time to be called for a parking space. First off the cops doing their job is not a waste of time. Like J has already said its not about winning or losing a fight. Its not a pissing contest. Its about not letting some fucktard think that he's gonna be the one making the...

Ohio, you are right about being prepared. Just the other night a lady was robbed at the park down the street from my house. Just down the street. Chances are the perp passed my house before or after robbing that lady. He could have just as easily said "hey, mabey I'll just kick in the door to that hou...

Re: Creepy little Feral kids

[quote="Chantrea"]First... If you're thinking of the incident this past school year in Georgia, that was 3rd graders. Kindergarteners are normally 5 or 6 years old. Third graders are 8 or 9 (and I believe that at least one of the kids was even older than that) I realize that may not seem a like a bi...

Re: Creepy little Feral kids

Never underestimate anybody. Even kids. Several months ago I remember reading about a group of kindergartners who got caught plotting to kill their teacher. One of them got in trouble for standing on her desk. She didn't like that so she enlisted her classmates help to kill the teacher. They all wer...

I miss the older MREs from the 90's. The ham slices were fantastic. And the chicken a la king was also great. I especially miss the amazing fruit cake. It was like compacted cement flavored with pure awesome sauce. Yes sir the 90's MRE's rocked! Whenever my dad went to the field,he would always bri...

Re: An observation of ignorance

I get the impression that Wal-Mart treats its employees like dirt. You are right about that. The only reason I stayed so long was because I became complacent and comfortable. I'm glad I finally got out. That place drains your soul. I swear every manager in that store acted like that Bill Lumburg ch...

Re: An observation of ignorance

That doesn't surprise me. That's just your typical Wal Mart customer. I worked at a Wal Mart for almost nine years. I've seen everything from a manager knock a customer out (customer was becoming very violent,he didn't know that the manager boxed in college) to a drunk man dropping his pants and pis...

Re: Had to draw CCW a week ago

Did you call the police and make a report and give them a description of the perps and their vehicle? If you have to draw your weapon, even if you don't use it, a police report should be filed...start a paperwork trail..because next time you might actually have to shoot the badguys...looks good for...

Re: Grandmas wallet almost stolen - File a police report!!

+1 to you for taking care of your grandma. I would go to the store and have a firm but polite chat with the store manager about store security and keeping their cameras in working order. If that gets you nowhere, than a call to the store's home office might get some results. Like you said, this repor...

Re: Going on a trip - Please tell me what I need.

A good friend is from India and whenever he goes to visit, this is what I've learned from him. In the next few weeks,it will be getting VERY hot in India. I would go during the cooler season. India is the 3rd largest English speaking country in the world so you should have no trouble communicating. W...

True. My microwave went tits up several months ago. I'm just too cheap to buy a new one. I'd rather spend my money on ammo and beer.

picatinny rail covers

I just received a UTG four sided picatinny rail handguard for my Bushmaster. It fits perfect and works great. However I am having a hell of a time putting the rail covers back on. Before I installed the handguards they snapped on and off very easily. Now that the handguards are installed they just w...
