Re: Chiappa Double Badger 22LR over 20 guage

Some day I'll actually get some heavy loads through it - I want to pattern No1 and No4 buck and shoot some slugs - just need to find a decent price

Chiappa Double Badger 22LR over 20 guage

Got this not too long ago and was getting some questions in the "what have you bought" thread so I thought I'd move the discussion to somewhere more appropriate. Loving it so far - it's heavy but it's comfotable to hold and short enough that it doesnt feel unbalanced. Both barrels shoot straight and...

Re: USB Devices...and how to keep them charged

I recently bought a power bank/recharger that can take disposable AA/AAA batteries and charge USB devices. It's not a permanent solution, but I think it's a good layer of versatility to give you options. Mine was only about $20. Thread here: https://www.zombiehunters.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=1...

Re: Mailbox Containing Evacuation Equipment?

Even paperwork seems dubious - image is now posted w/o link above and you can see a gap in the top where it's open to the outside. I'd shine a light in there if I didn't want to do something so sketchy in front of a federal government building. It's in downtown St. Louis, so very much urban. No clue...

Mailbox Containing Evacuation Equipment?

No idea if this is the right section, feel free to move if it's better somewhere else. I was dropping off some mail last minute at the regional branch since they don't do their last daily collection until 7 PM. Walking out of the building, I noticed a rough shape, green colored mailbox. It was near ...

Re: Instafire fire starter.

Fantastic stuff - how much would you say that was (might be easier to state in cups/Tbsp rather that oz)? I'm really thinking now that a waterproof match case full of 2 storm matches and the rest filled with this stuff would be a great and compact way to keep some fire starter. I've got some wetfire...

Re: Instafire fire starter.

Mind putting a longer review up? how much did you use? what conditions did it work in? did you test to a failure?

I'd be interested for sure - I might find it handy to keep packed inside of a waterproof match case.

Re: Firearms Chat 4: #pewpewlife

Load up a large number of magazines (don't have to be full - maybe 5 rounds each) and sneak a dummy round into one of them so you get a surprise to clear.

Any recommendations for a kydex or similar holster for a G19? IWB AND with a flashlight attached (TLR-1 if it makes a difference)

Note I don't plan to actually carry it concealed iwb, just like the option to if for whatever reason I'd want to.

Re: What have you bought in the last 48 hours?(firearms rela

OT: oiled down my long guns Today I renewed my range membership & signed up for 2 pistol classes. I also got a CrossBreed holster for the G26. I'm off to lube the G19. Basic classes or something specific/advanced? After basic classes, I've found that for my time and money I can do a 1 hour private i...

Re: What Did You Do Today To Prepare?

Bought some stuff on Amazon to shore up and round out some of my FAKs and... Went on a hike carrying my GHB for some much needed exercise. Carried some other gear, like my hammock, just in case I made great time and could relax a bit. GHB: http://www.zombiehunters.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=1202...

My Hygiene Pouch

Thought I'd make a quick post about my Hygiene Pouch so I can reference later. Its a great quick grab when I'm doing a day hike with just me or a small group. http://i.imgur.com/HXi7sPI.jpg?1 http://i.imgur.com/4QTBp9G.jpg?1 The pouch itself is probably my favorite part of the kit - it's a simple pe...

Re: North Korea fires ballistic missile into Japanese waters

Russia and China have agreed on the need for a simultaneous freezing of North Korea's missile and nuclear program and large-scale military exercises by the United States and South Korea, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday. Putin made his comments after holding talks with visiting Chin...

I'm usually a fan of colored polymer pistols - for some reason the glocks look out of place to me. Maybe the Navy Tribute is ok.

Thanks for the input acropolis5 I live in an urban environment - St. Louis, MO area. The "alaska gear" was bought up there when I was doing some trail building after college. The supply store we were at had 3 colors of tops/bottoms - OD, Orange, and Neon Yellow. Our 8 person crew each bought a diffe...

Re: Coleman 99 cent plastic match holder review.

Necroing the thread, but thought I had a data point worthy of an addition. Dunking the case and matches in water is one thing, but I had a bit of a long term test going. I bought a case/matches a little over two years ago, and it's sat outside under my grill since - right there in the charcoal chimn...

Re: Recommend molle mag pouch for 10 rounders please

If you or someone you know can sew, maybe look into altering a standard pouch by cutting it into top/bottom 10 round mag holders... ? Turn a 3 mag pouch into a 6 round pouch? I'm drinking on my patio atm, so I'm not going to go check the actual pouches, but think of this: 1. Get 3 across 30 round ma...
