Re: The All Purpose AK Thread

So PA micro or Burris fastfireII on the amd? Either would be in a MI mdm mount.http://www.midwestindustriesinc.com/ind ... ory_ID=421
The PA is cheaper, but I have heard no complaints about their quality.

Re: Is it Ok to like Taurus yet?

my favorite pistol I have owned was a Taurus 85 with pachmyr grips from the factory. Very accurate to 15-20 yards, head shots at that range were pretty consistent. It was also a joy to shoot and at the time cheap to feed ('95). IIRC the only reason I sold "Black Betty" was because Uncle Sam thought ...

Re: DIY Kydex thread?

RTF don't forget the FNP9 :P hmmm wonky thought, but could a kydex sheath with a bit of retention be made for a fiskars hand axe? They do not come with a cover, and having some way to both cover it and attach it to my pack would be kinda awesome. Funnily enough I think anything that would accomplish...

Re: Ultimate ZS Battle/Scout Belt Thread

Pete the belt loops are sewn on the bottom with a straight stitch and the top with a diagonal line effectively shortening the opening by 1/4". At work so can not take photos atm. I am currently working a deal with one of our fellow ZSers for a kydex holster. but in the meantime I may rip the diagona...

GD4 thanks. After a bit of thought I see what you are saying. I had spotted the holster during their sale and jumped on it with the thought " ooh a $9 holster from TT" in other words no real thought.

Re: 3 Day Hiking Pack - Budget - $100 or less

I have seen great deals on the Jansport Klamath. I got my 55l Klamath for 60 on woot, but you can get one for about 70-75 if you do not want to wait. Excellent pack just a shade away from a coyote color, and can hold about 4-5 days worth of summer gear or 3 testicle shrinking nights. I can fit my wi...

Those are a blast Assault Life. The sights are a little large for gnat nut accuracy but for minute of soda can they are excellent. Tempted to buy one "for my wife". Re: Firearms Chat.....Sans catchy title

We had a swap meet at the rod and gun club today. Lots of cool stuff. A guy had an older sig p226 that he wanted to trade for my circuit judge....even up. It is probably a mid 90's model with lots of holster wear, but pretty good shape otherwise. Possibly a retired leo gun. Am I stupid for not jump...

I do not know if it is still there, but there used to be a greenhouse on the very edge of Hinesville that if you drove past it down the dirt road another mile on the left hand side of the road they had an unofficial range that was supplied with planters for targets. I shot with the local SO and PD t...

Re: Savage .308 conversion

I would look at one of the fixed power scopes from SWFA . They are economical and supposedly pretty good glass. I personally have not used one but have heard so many great reviews that I feel they deserve a look. I tend to like my shots under 600m myself, I don't notice the wind much at all unless i...
