I think you have bigger problems than finding a good AR.

I have an Olympic Arms that retails (or at least it used to) for $599. Great gun, have put MANY rounds through it, lifetime warranty, etc. Good guns for the money.

SKS. WTF?? Trioxin.....that's the best you can come back with? Hierophant, if you are just going to get 1 Mosin get the M44. But you know once you get one you will end up with all the variants. Sorry bro, its my day off. It's pretty much masterbating and TV today, no witty c...

Re: What do Kansas & California Have In Common?

So....could this potentially be the beginning of the end? We are on a path in which one outcome is a financial collapse of the US. There are other outcomes the most likely is that the US does not quite run out of money but that the US must stop bailing out everyone and businesses & banks do indeed ...

Re: Range report: My new SKS

The 20rnd star mags are a bit pricey, but totally worth it. They are not as hard to load as you think. Not much differant than a standard 10rnd. I just use 2 stripper clips to fill it. Works like a charm.

Re: Range report: My new SKS

Said it before, and I'll say it again: Anything other than a stock SKS is just dick rubbin and money chuckin. Trust me...I've been there. Keep it stock and spend the money on ammo. I've got a chi-com 20rd fixed and it works great. You might want to try one of those. Big +1. I have to confess, I did ...

The hi-res pics are cool, but what is really fuckin scary is the google "street view" shit. You can literally look inside someone's window with this thing. I live in the middle of BFE and there are pics of my house there. http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q39/zombie_killer_MH666/google_spy_01.jpg T...

Well it is really easy to do, but... as far as leaving a kid in the room with it... its all good as long as the remote isn't there, or you can figure out a way to block channels.... You get allllll the channels... I know I would have loved to have alllll the channels when I was a kid... but you may...

Somebody needs to make an after market stock for the Mosin like that, sell it for $100 and make an obscene amount of money.
Put me down for pre-order #1.

Re: Shotgun as a main BoW...do it right.

This one is too good not to get in on... I have to say, when I walk go outside and really feel that I am going to encounter danger (not just those times I want to walk around and investigate a dog bark with the fully tacti-cool AK), I reach for my Mossy pump. I would feel secure if it where my only ...

Re: CZ-82: Trigger slap?

I've put several hundred rounds thorugh mine and haven't experianced this. I love that pistol and everything about it. The only thing even close to a problem is that when I shoot it, I get a bit of a red spot on the webbing between my thumb and forefinger. This could just be from my big ass hands...

All good advise.
Let's say I can sit on the money for a bit and actually put off buying some gun goodies (not bloody likely) and I save up $200. What kind of brands, models, etc should I look into?

Re: Million Gun March

You know, maybe for those of ust hat can't make it, we schedule a time when we ALL go out and fire off three shoots. Each time zone will have everyone go out at 5:30 and squeeze off some 3 rounds (the universal sign of "All is not well") it would be the new "shot heard round the world". Nobody could...

$100 for a new scope, help me pick one

I recently inherited a nice bolt gun that I want to turn into a 'sniper-ish' rifle. I have $100 to spend on a scope. I have been looking at a Bushnell Banner 6-18x50 and a BSA Platinum 8-32x44. They both around $100ish and seem similar in performance. I know that I won't be making any 900+ yrd shots...

I ahve been interested in doing something like this, but I haven't been able to get past the idea of the paint just bubbling of a hot barrel. Does the Krylon hold up to the heat?

I put a 12 gauge brass brush on my drill, then poured an assload of gun oil in the chamber and buffed away. It made a HUGE differance in the way the bolt closed.
