Re: Where to get a flashlight repaired?

Here's a cheap 1" diameter tailcap, $5 with coupon on amazon right now. It says it fits Surefire so should fit 1" lights. Don't know what the shipping or lead time would be. I have no experience with this tailcap. It's probably NOT a momentary on button. https://www.amazon.com/Flashlight-Switch-Butt...

Re: Where to get a flashlight repaired?

I found my second Fenix E21 that works. I swapped tail caps and the broken one worked. So I took the bad tail cap apart. And found this. I can't seem to get it back together. After a light cleaning to get the corrosion out. I assume I need a new tail cap button (center in the pic)? Or a whole new t...

Re: Firearms Chat: Yeet Cannon 2 Electric Boogaloo

Asking nicely...could the name of the thread be changed to perhaps... Electric "Avenue?" I've seen a notice, and more recently heard a report on NPR that the other word is being tied more and more closely to extremists. I am not, so... the center must hold. Wouldn't want people happening upon this ...

Re: 22LR in a rifle, ok for defense?

What I'm hearing is "I need a .22 to be my weekend bullet hose." For that purpose, I would consider a 10/22 or some other dedicated .22 AR style rifle. The reason being you really want something you can shoot a lot, shoot fast, and won't quit on you in the middle of a mag. The Ruger 10/22 has a goo...

Are we defending from a walled position or a trenched position? If I'm the only defender on the line, 870. I'll probably only get thru the first mag before being overrun so no need for reload speed or endurance considerations past the first mag. https://media1.tenor.com/images/9a15438f903b32158cc05e...

Re: Where to get a flashlight repaired?

I sent my Fenix E21 in to Fenix for repair. And there was apparently a tiny spot of battery corrosion. Which voided the lifetime warranty. Where else can I send it in to be fixed? Does that mean they won't fix it even if they have to charge you? Its either free under warranty or a chargeable repair...

How much money are you saving buying a dedicated 22 AR vs an AR with a 22 conversion kit? Is there a budget your working to stay within? (...) Weird, thought I'd replied already but it's not showing... Anyway, yeah, $350 is my top range (so I'm also thinking Hi-Point 995TS 9mm), so I know I could g...

Re: 22LR in a rifle, ok for defense?

How much money are you saving buying a dedicated 22 AR vs an AR with a 22 conversion kit? Is there a budget your working to stay within? Because if you have $700-800 you can buy an actual AR plus buy a 22 conversion for it in that price range. But if you buy the dedicated 22 AR, you can't really go ...

A laser, a rail section, and a laser bore site. https://i.imgur.com/yRMWRVX.jpg?2 The laser is interesting in that its a 'bull dot' laser, which apparently has a wider beam for better acquisition. Comparing it to the familiar size of the laser bore site you can see the difference. When I saw this it...

Been back playing Battlefield V the last two weekends. After a multi-month layoff from it. There was a major patch just released and two new Pacific maps dropped. One is Iwo Jima. It also included some US and Japanese weapons and vehicles. MI Garand is one of them. There will be two more Pacific the...

It occurred to me later he might be better off with the 10/22 and the pistol. What do you guys think? Change the 10/22 to a couple extra pistol mags [its a Shield] and maybe add a tactical light when clearing your apartment. Are the roommates going to be part of the home defense team or just this g...

Hey... it worked for Walking dead I actually enjoyed the first couple seasons. It is sad when writers fall blindly in love with their characters. It did work for the first few seasons. The early seasons of TWD were some of the best TV I have seen. Well , maybe two seasons. Then you realized, Rick w...

Think I haven't seen 2,4,9, and 15. Since they listed 'Night of the Comet', I'll add 'Maximum Overdrive' as another 'must see' '80's EOTW flick. Its the same quality filmmaking IMO, so tied for #12.
