Magpul type 2 QD cups, an MS4 sling, UTG 150 lumen light, UTG sub-compact red laser, and a Caldwell Matrix shooting rest. ETA: Well, I guess I need to delete the "s" on QD cups there. Apparently they're not sold in pairs like I assumed. Ordered a second one just now. At least my sling converts to si...

Re: What Did You Do Today To Prepare?

Went to the indoor range today and put some rounds through various 9mm pistols, narrowed the missus' choices for a CCW piece down to a Glock or XD. Leaning toward the XD, it just felt more natural in the hand and such.

Re: Brake pads

There's a minimum thickness yes. But that was in response to why one would reuse rotors that had warped already. As long as they're still above the minimum thickness after cutting, they're usable. Re: Brake pads

...but if they were warped, I fail to see the logic of using the same rotors that failed you with even less material. Granted, the pads may have been too hot for that rotor but I still wouldnt use them. Because in 90% of cases once a set of rotors has warped (aka heat cycled) they won't warp again....

Re: Brake pads

Newer vented rotors can't be turned unless you damage them early in their service life. Yeah, I've had shops with metal lathes tell me they can do it, but every time I've listened I ended up with warped rotors afterward, and getting my rotors turned cost me almost as much as new rotors. Seriously, ...
