Re: Guard/Family Dog

The dog won't drool as much as the baby will, so I wouldn't worry about that too much. The dog will be house broken quicker, too. How about two dogs? One large mostly outside guard dog, and something like a terrier that lives in the child's room? The outside dog will let you know about what is happ...

Re: Guard/Family Dog

My main reservation with a lab is that they are not the best guard dogs. They do make a good watch dog but not as much on guarding. I thought about them for a while but just not quit filling the role for me.

Re: Guard/Family Dog

I did deal with MWDs when i was in, but the the wife vetoed GSDs, and I'm not so sure why. They are a big long haired for me as well. Bonanacrom, I actually like the french mastiff a lot. I get the mastiffs confused often but I am editing my OP to put that on the list. It was another one of my big c...

Guard/Family Dog

After much discussion w/ the wife she has agreed to me getting a dog when we move into our new home next year. I have some things in mind as to what I want out of the dog, and the conditions it will live in. These should be its living conditions: Moving to cali, so the climate should always be moder...

Re: If your shooting at 1,000 meters, what powered scope?

Magnification isn't a big deal really. I've shot 10x to 1300yd+ and a friend of mine hit a 18" wide reactive target at 2200yd, using around 12x magnification because elevation was already topped out and he had to take more elevation using the reticle ( in a S&B 5-25 there's plenty of hash marks ava...

Re: Uses of Duct Tape

Gotcha, I don't like to carry cash and that orange one was the first one I had made in a while. They are large in terms of size but are not very thick. I'm planning on tinkering with them a little. They are still thinner than my ACU wallet I'm still looking to replace. Duct tape ftw! Ever considere...

Re: Uses of Duct Tape

I used to carry a duct tape wallet, then I moved onto a wallet that was much thinner. The thickness of duct tape wallets is a big turn off for me. I've used the duct tape bandaids before, they were great. Actually, I found the duct tape wallets I made are very thin. I love it. It's the Gorilla Tape...

I have AR mags to trade for AK mags.

I have some AR mags, and not near enough AK mags. Anyone have some for trade?

I'll put up 10 used 30 round USGI AR-15 mags if someone has 7 AK mags.

Numbers are negotiable.

I got too bored reading all the responses but here is my suggestion. Sorry if it has already been covered. The needle. Just one? Needles break pretty often. I would have at the least two, just in case you have a dud one and it breaks on your fist stitch.

it is current military training. both corpsman and combat lifesavers are taught this. BUT, it may be because in combat getting to a hospital quickly is rarely an option. when i was stung by a scorpion in 07' and the corpsman did'nt put a boot band above and below the sting site, he got a right good...

I just fondled one in a uniform store for like 10 minutes (because I could), I know thats probably quite what you meant by used. The craftsmanship was good, the material felt nice to the touch (ie not going to give you insta chaffing). I was kinda no liking the lack of retention straps on the high ...

Re: Postal Match - July '09 "Shoot your Bug Out guns"

Bugging out implies leaving and going somewhere else, during which at some point you will be on foot (even if it's just walking from the house to car or car to cabin) and fast shots at aproaching undead from positions we're not used to, including offhand. I'm not good at shooting from a bench. Up u...

Ridiculous threads that have no importance and are done just for the sake of doing it? It's kinda like spamming.
