I've read with mine.....I've used the controls on my comms with it....worked the combination lock to the lower field with it.... I'll try to get a pic tonight. No. We get issued those lights. We have modern NVGs that have IR floods on them. The IR setting on that helmet light is not meant for personal illumination. Trust me. I have one with 3 white/2 red, one with 3 white/2 blue, and one with 3 green/2 IR. All have the IR beacon on the side. My tubes are ...

Helmet IR lights are not for you to see things, they're for you to be seen. how well do surefire helmet lights (the IR lights) work out with the night vision goggles/monoculars? (I have a spotting scope, but nothing goggle/mounted stuff) Personally I'm not real impressed with the helmet lights. They are OK for close in work...but it doesn't hold a candle to the Photon IRs....
