top heavy, but unless you have IEDs in your AO, no big. visibily is usually for shit, so a spotter for backing and tight spaces.... You must live in one hellofacounty, if the law has to pack that much heat... The Feds are giving this stuff away so LOTS of poe dunk SWAT teams are jumping on the bigg...

95 Toyota 4Runner opinions

I've got a guy that wants to trade his Mid 90s 4 Runner for my 92 Supercharged Mazda Miata. I was really looking for a Jeep Cherokee as I've had two of them and loved them but the Toy 4Runner seems like direct competition for the XJ. I know the basics of them vs each other. XJ is Unibody, 4R is Body...

Re: What Did You Do Today To Prepare?

Went to Big Box store and laid in some bulk hygiene items. Also found a new pocket holster for my 22. I've had a CC permit for over a year, but have been nervous about ever wearing the belt holster. Too many stories of people legally carrying being harassed by cops or even shot. This weekend carrie...

Re: What Did You Do Today To Prepare?

Went to the Commissary. Picked up a couple of TOTMs to drop in the food crate, and flat of water bottles. Added some canned goods to the cabinet but nothing that's set aside for "prep food" though if something went down it could go into the food crate all the same. Why TOTMs and not MREs? Price? If...

COMMUNICATION, COMMUNICATION, COMMUNICATION

You have got to talk to each other. Common thing on most servers, At least on 360, is total silence. No one is talking or communicating what is going on at all. Those rare times I get a squad that can communicate with each other we usually at least puull down ACE squad ribbon if not a game win. Comm...

Re: Rapid Military Takeover WWYD

Being that I am in the military I would either A) Be the said force doing the takeover or I hope not brother. They can only accomplish that mission if the boots on the ground are willing to carry out their orders. Sort of. A coup is a more precise thing requiring a smaller number of focused troops ...

Re: Best overall camo for SHTF

Find out what works in your area and use it. Here in SOCAL and back home in North Central Texas Multicam works pretty well. Unless you're in an urban environment then all bets are off on the usual camo patterns. I honestly believe as stated above numerous times that most people would be well served ...

Insurance coverage. If my firearms burn up I've got coverage for all of them plus the accessories.

Not sure if the OP has something similar.

Re: Well, we got to bug out last week...

If you're going to shoot locks use a breaching round, they're designed for that purpose and less chance of crap flying back at you, though you might still want to wear some PPE. Are you in SOCAL? I was walking to the barracks from work the other night and could see the horizon glowing to the north o...

Re: Looking for a compact SUV or AWD vehicle

Ford Escape? Front wheel drive based but you can find them with AWD. Guy at work has one and it's went everywhere the "real" trucks have went out here on our camping trips.

You can even find them with a Manual Trans if you look hard enough.

Re: How critical do you think a dump pouch is?

I never really saw the point of them, all of the stuff that I needed already had its own pouch. If it is just for magazines, then I'd just toss them on the ground and worry about it later. Not always an option. And putting a magazine back into a magazine pouch under stress is generally a no go, but...

Re: Failure: 33 round 9mm magazine for Glock

The 33 round magazines should really be tied to your tactics. No, they’re not very practical for most situations, but they can be advantageous in some. I don’t care for the length as they hard to maneuver with, but the capacity can be helpful in a few scenarios. About the only situations I could im...

Re: Battlefield 4

I'll have to try that with the flares next time, never though about using them that way. I haven't unlocked the Fire Extinguisher yet so no go on that one. Hardcore mode makes using the helicopters guns much easier so I'm getting more kills than I did before.

Re: Battlefield 4

I play engineer class mostly and pack a launcher of some sort. Tanks and helicopters tend to be the big threats in most of the big games. If you can coordinate with some people you can take out a tank pretty quick. If someone flying a helo is good they'll dump flares and fly away until they reload. ...

Re: Battlefield 4

Wait there's an AC-130???

I have to admit I "cheated" a bit and splurged 10 bucks to unlock all the carbines and shortcut the Engineer kit so I can actually get something that can kill a damn tank. Next payday I'll probably splurge for premium and a full unlock on the Assault.
