In the Marine Corps here. 3.5 years so far. Don't let the recruiters lie to you (they all do no matter what the service is) If you don't mind putting up with BS dayin and day out join the Marine Corps. Watch your MOS though. If/when you decide to get out you will need some kind of marketable job ski...

Most helicopter intakes are at the top of the chopper. I work on Helicopter Turbine engines for the Marine corps and FOD in those engines is much less of a problem than the fix wing jets. Same with turboprops (the caravan for instance) they don't have nearly as big a problem with fod as the fix wing...

The only bad thing would be no quick change barrel. You would have to control your rate of fire if you wanted to sustain it.

Trailering isn't an option for me. It all has to fit in the back of the XJ. Trailering a full size road worthy vehicle to a trail seems kinda pointless. If I had to trailer I would trailer ATVs or Dirt Bikes to the trail head and not even have a Jeep.

automatic isnt a plus, its a negitive, manual is a plus Not when you are talking about XJ's. The auto trans and 4.0 are bullet proof. +2. Both the auto and AX-15 are bulletproof you can't go wrong with either. There are guys on the Jeepin board that claim 300k plus miles on their AW4 4.0L combo. An...

Tow straping would only be an option for me if we only had 20 or less miles to go to get to the BOL. Having a heavily loaded down truck towing another loaded down truck would be a good way to get 2 broken down trucks and even less gear to your BOL.

Last time I had it dynoed it dynoed in at 113 hp and 78 ft lbs of torque. 80 percent of that torque was produced at 3000 rpm. I love it an hr at a time is no sweat. I rode it from Mineral Wells, TX. (my home) to New River in 1 day. 1300 miles non stop. Never even felt my back cramp up once. And I ra...

Statements like that don't ussually hold that much weight. They probably mean ALL MOST everything. That said, am I the only one who thinks 360 graphics look A LOT like normal X Box graphics? o_O That's how things were for the PS2 in the first year or so, the graphics were only slightly better, but ...

Strip what you can from the truck and load down your vehicles you have now. Watch the weight though you don't want another breakdown on the way to your BOL. Take the gear you couldn't load up and stash it in a good location close to the road but out of sight from the road. Mark its location on a map...

As previously stated fuel will probably be in short supply in any kind of PAW event. BHP is correct in his statements. There is nothing better than boots on the ground to get accurate reports, with a QRF in the "wire" ready to roll out at a moments notice to reinforce/extract your foot patrol team. ...

Biological warfare is a VERY BAD IDEA. Even in the worst circumastances all I think humanity would do is acclerate its extinsion (SP?). I would rather use a nuclear weapon before we used bio weapons against the undead. Bio weapons depend a lot on the human body to do a lot of the work in incubating ...
