Destroy staircase going up to your second story. Have temp (like a ladder or rope ladder) to get to top floor that you can remove and store upstairs quickly. ALL sleeping and night time is spent on the second story just incase.

A zombie movie I recentley saw on the SCI-FI channel. Can't remember the name but some "Marines" and a specialized zombie team go into a zombified city to retieve a sample of "pateint zero's" blood. They have to go in multiple times when they break the blood vial like twice. Somehow those heavy stee...

I have a feeling hes going to go and start questioning all the new arrivals in town looking for information and making sure no one is there to hurt them or spy on them. I have a feeling he's probably going to step over the line at some point. He seems pretty paranoid from spending his time outside o...

The SV is a V-twin and the KLR is a single, two different engines and power bands. Bah I muddled up SV/KLR/V-Strom there. Still don't know why anybody would want a street engine (SV) in a supposed dual (V-Strom). Now if you could get the modified engine parts from Kawa to turn a KLR into a diesel*,...

welcome, sounds like a good vehicle, except the carberated part. Even the the CFI injection of the middle to late 80's is better than a carb. My 2 cents anyway. If there is any sort of EMP your ECM/PCM becomes useless. An older vehicle may be the best choice. You may still have to replace some stuf...

Only if they try to bite you on the chest. Pretty much all bullet proof vests that people are talking about here are the kind that only protect the vital organ region. Some of the military ones provide protection to the shoulders and neck but that is pretty much it. Remember that knives and other sh...

The KLR one of the guys I ride with has gets well over 50MPG I don't see how you can consider that bad mileage. The DL650 (v-strom) gets at least 50 in most conditions (same motor as the SV just slightly diffrent cams). Even the KLR is plently quick enough for most situations unless you are running ...

Well you said that the other island has beaches so i would worry about the stray runner coming up on the islands and stuff and infecting someone and then you've got the problem all over again right at your front gate. blockading would be a better idea I guess since you would need some military grade...

I want no chances that those things would be able to get around my barricade there and make it accross. If people are going to be coming onto or leaving the island I want them to have to build a new road/bridge. The other bridges are good they can be relowered. Especially since from what I was able ...

I would try to blow the land bridge somehow (out of 300 survivors there has to be SOMEONE who knows how to make a kick ass bomb of somesort) since the other islands have beaches and yours has seawalls. making zombie attack from the sea pretty much non existant. Then you are left securing your island...

After reading your story (I read the whole thing a few days ago) I can say that you could use their numbers to help you clear off the island. I remember something about a land bridge. You would need to destroy that somehow to stem the flow of the undead onto your island. I know that the undead will ...

I saw the opposite happen. We were sitting on an outcrop on the side of a hill and drinking from canteens when a round hit near us and richotted. We looked around and couldn't tell where it came from. Then we noticed that one of the guys was still sitting there with the canteen to his lips. Tought ...
