Re: Light tactical Bump Helmet against zombie?
The replica: Emerson FAST Type Tactical Airsoft Helmet (MICH Ballistic Type / Advanced / Arid Foliage seem interesting but I don't understand why on one image are present hole on top when on the other image is clear that there are no holes outside the helmet. Probably because the guys at the airsof...

Re: Light tactical Bump Helmet against zombie?
Then you need a ballistic helmet. The bump helmets all have holes. At least you can get armor in Italy if you feel so inclined Italy In Italy, the purchase, ownership and wear of ballistic vests and body armor is not subject to any restriction, except for those ballistic protections that are develop...

Brake fluid is also somewhat corrosive. It will eat paint off of automobiles if left for any length of time.

Re: Ammunition stockpiling: questions re: quality and quant
I just want to see where I stand to others. I have about 500rds of M855 rounds, and 4k rounds misc .223. I only have iron sights right now, but I took a lot of time and many rounds (about 500rds) to sight them in to 150yrds. So I figure I'm done shooting the M855 except occasionally checking to mak...

For the Glock
Whatever the cheapest FMJ is I can find I stock it deep. I keep about 250 rounds of Speer Gold Dot on hand though.

Re: Elmer question BaoFeng BF-F8HP vs UV-5R
Check your CTCSS codes compared to the local repeaters. You might not have them punched in and you won't pick up any transmissions that way.
Also check the real range on those. If you are standing indoors you have to be very close to most VHF repeaters to pick them up.

Yeah don't fall into the NutnFancy trap of making long winded videos, as much as I like his videos I don't watch that many of them all the way though because I don't have that kind of time to sit watching a VLOG. IMO and in my experience anything much longer than 10 minutes and you start losing the ...

Still need to finish up my Private. I have just over 20 hours of private pilot instruction and then over 25 hours of ultralight time. I got the ultralight time after I stopped going to flight school due to financial issues when they moved my ass back into the barracks.

Re: Bug Out Vehicle Porn - pictures only please
Installed a Detours XJ "Backbone" and a Rugged Ridge (Chinese) 8500lb winch. The "backbone" setup lets me keep the look mostly stock. I like the stock contours of the stock Jeep bumper but wanted a mounted winch so this worked out well and is half(ish) the cost of most full replacement winch bumpers...

Re: "Walking Dead" Cable Series
Her character in ST:TNG was awful. Granted the acting at the start of the first season was pretty stilted by all the cast members (they eventually got much better) but Yar was the worst of them all. She played a much better Romulan than Security Chief.

Would bluetooth work for you? They are limited in range. Around 1000 feet and line of sight usually. SENA SMH series of headsets. They still use radio waves though. http://senabluetooth.com/ It's what a lot of motorcyclist use. It's full duplex (I.E. both people can talk at the same time similar to ...

I would stay away from Rustoleum or Krylon unless you are using one of the lighter colors. Their darker colors will start to "chalk" after about a year depending on UV exposure. This is good paint used by a lot of restorers of military equipment. I'm probably going to go with the 34052 Lusterless Ma...

I was hitting repeaters 30 miles away from a hilltop using a UV-5R (4 watts) using a Nagoya 701 antenna. Total cost of radio and antenna from Amazon was just over 40 dollars. I also have a 12v adapter that cost another 5 bucks to run off of my bike on longer trips.

I've never understood the MREs stop me up complaint. Maybe it's because I grew up eating them on and off with my Dad being an Army Infantryman, but I've never had any digestive issues with MREs. Infact the new ones are so probably better than most American's cooking lol. The ones I grew up on were t...
