My sailboat will get me further than your Nissan. And carry more. Just sayin.

I like that you chose reputable manufacturers and didn't skimp on quality. Too often I see people filling their BOBs with crap from China Freight.

The Jetboil is cool but I prefer the MSR Whisperlite international. Light weight and multi-fuel.

Man, that's a hell of a price. I think I payed 45 bucks a piece for my apple trees. My cherry tree was about the same.

Re: WTF Rifle of the Month *Open to all kinds of guns now*

Well, what you have there is the semi-bullpup Keppeler KS-V bolt action precision rifle. It'll be somewhere between .308Win and .338LM caliber-wise, and somewhere significantly below 1/2 minute of angle at 100 yards. Those things are about as close to truly accurate as it is possible to get. Half M...

Re: Thrift Shop finds

Today I picked up a better trauma kit bag for the farm truck and a marine VHF antenna for the boat. 8 bucks total but I'm not gonna complain. Marine VHF antennas are crazy expensive when you buy them at the marine stores.

I still have an original Victorinox Officier Suisse from back before they started putting tooth picks and tweezers and lanyards on em. It's an old piece. Almost identical to the Tinker but with a cork screw instead of a phillips screwdriver. (I much prefer the Tinker I used to have because I confron...

You know, I'm all for Mag as a company and I think they put out some pretty great products but that's not to say that I haven't been let down in the past. I've gone through more AA mini mags than anyone I know. Granted, I use my lights every day and so they get a lot of wear. My biggest gripe about ...

Fishing hooks and line. T-shirts. Socks. Soap. Sail making and repair suplies. You'd be amazed what a #2 fishing hook and a steel leader can be traded for in the south pacific.

Bought 4 2.5" pots of snap bean plants to add to the garden and washed out 3 60 gallon water barrels to fill and store in the well house. Also filled a 5 gallon HDPE bucket with brown rice.
