Cloth Diapers & a Septic System ??'s

My wife and I have our first on the way so we are looking into this as well. She is in her last year of school to become a midwife so we are gonna be stuck doing all the hippy stuff which I've kinda gotten on board with over the last few months. From what I have read, cloth diapers are very bad at p...

Full auto

IIRC any Class 3 dealer has the option to rent Full-Auto weapons. ATP Gun Range in Summerville, SC (just outside of Charleston) has several ARs and some MP-5s along with others. Do a search for a Class 3 FFL in your area and give them a call. On a side note, IMHO $50 is too much to pay for a full-au...

Harden Your Doors and Windows

I have to admit, the chick in that video is very cute. My MIL has those on all of her windows for hurricane shutters. They work great and come with a battery backup pack that you plug into the wall and move them up or down. When we get down there for vacation we usually put them down in the room we ...

Printable AR Lower Receiver and Magazine

IIRC there was a story a few months ago about the ATF requiring some M4/M16 Airsoft guns to be removed from the market because they were easily converted to fire .223/5.56 rounds. In their testing the lower receiver fell apart in 2-3 rounds but it was still able to fire rounds down range.

Neighbors Knowing You Own

I live in an eight unit condo and have work armed security for years. As we don't have any place to change after work, I don't have a garage, and have known two people to be fired for getting their duty weapons stolen out of their cars, I usually walk from my car to my front door with my duty belt t...

Grip Force Adapters

Yes I did a search. http://www.zombiehunters.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=74286 Different question in relation to the GFA and it's almost two years old.... I wanted to know if anyone uses the GFA on their Glocks. Or what you do use to change the grip angle to better match your non-Glock firearms. ...

Palmetto State Armory & 03 FFL

I was planning on checking it out when I go visit my parents in Columbia. But it they offered a discount that would make it that much better.

Thanks for the info.

Anyone know if PSA gives 03 FFL discounts for sending in a copy of your paperwork like Brownells and MidwayUSA do?

I got my gf this: http://fotodump.leisureactivity.nl/benchmade.jpg She calls it her "Butterfly" knife, I tried correcting her to no avail, and she loves the color. She likes the size and the cutout for easy opening. I know it's a ripoff from Spyderco but I don't hold it against Benchmade for going ...

10 year anniversary of 9/11/01

Today those of us in the security and fire department at work had a private moment of silence to remember those who lost their lives. Ten years ago I was in my sophomore year of high school just starting second period when we got the news that the first tower was hit by a plane. They moved everyone ...

Does it have to be a folder? If she's worried about opening a folder (especially under intense stress), she's not looking to get into any knife fights, and she has little or no training, why not look at a Kabar TDI? As previously suggested, regardless of what route she decides to go, physical and m...

Re: Knives for females

Sorry that I've been AFK all day, I was running around like a chicken with it's head cut off at work. Take her a sporting goods or gun store that has a good selection of knives and let het pick out what she feels most comfortable with. All the sporting goods stores in the area are more interested in...

I'll have to take a closer look at the Kershaw knives again as they do seem to fit into what I was looking for, but the leek is a little big in my opinion just from the stats. The scallion looks like it's a little better at 2.25. I don't like any assisted opener for SD, but if she wants it she wants...

I was wondering if anyone had a suggestion for a knife for my wife. I'm slowly working her to the point that she might get a CWP in the next year or so but we are not to that point yet. She did mention the other day that she wanted a knife like what I have, which is a Benchmade Barrage. Figuring she...

<snip> The government should step up and put things in place to keep the cell phone network up and running like the old phone system. Leaving politics aside, why would anyone advocate this? I don't want the Government meddling in private affairs. The cell phone network is privately owned, but feder...

Anyone else remember that during blackouts, you still used to be able to get dial tone? You guys don't have this anymore? We still have this system in the UK, landline phones get their power along the phone line from the phone company. Whenever we have a powercut, we just ring the automated power c...

This was true after Katrina also if I remember correctly. That is the great thing about the new E-911 system. Being able to text and email to local LEOs.

Ok, this is going to sound a little stupid. I have need for a "T-Shirt" in the A-TACS camo pattern. Ok. That's just what I was looking for. Thanks for going out and doing that. This gives me a good idea of the color differences. Now I don't know why 5.11 would choose to use that sandstone color over coyote.
