Pistol Training Day with Don of Milcopp in SC Jan. 27th

I'll have my HK P30 .40 and my Glock 23 as a backup.

On a side note: My father picked up 700 rounds of ammo today for me from Palmetto State Armory which will be in my hands on Sunday. I can't wait for the class to start.

I just turned 21. H&K P30.

I got the standard DA/SA varient. Just the standard P30. Put 104 rounds through it today up in the mountains. Kicks less than the service M9, and even with the mechanism being tight from it being just out of the box, the weather being below freezing, and using very cheap ammo, I only had one proble...

Pistol Training Day with Don of Milcopp in SC

Ok. Count me in. I'm 90% sure I can make it.

Are there any other requirements? I was planning on using my belt mounted Raven holster and my P30 as I CCW with that most of the time. I was taking this as more of an every day kinda class and less of a tactical class but correct me if I'm wrong.

Consider me a maybe. I'd love to come but it's up to my work schedule and the day. A weekday would work better.

He has written two zombie/super hero books. Wasn't expecting much because that's not my thing, but ended up liking them a lot.

I switched to ebooks about two years ago now and have about 200 books so far. Started out on my iPhone and then picked up an iPad in June and just love it. I mostly read political thrillers (Vince Flynn/Michael Walsh/Brad Thor), scifi (Frank & Brian Herbert) and crime books (David Baldacci/Robert Cr...

Glock modifications

I am of the "it's fine to tinker, just make sure you do some research first, and wring it out at the range before taking it out and about." One of Glock's strengths is ease of tinkering. NY1 trigger gives you a heavier, longer pull, more like a DA revolver, sort of. That was the intent, anyway. The...

Keep cash in your vehicle? yes or no?

I wouldn't put it anywhere that wasn't secure. Like with a lock. And NOT a glove box. When my car finally dies on me and I get the truck I've been dreaming of for the last three years, I plan on getting one of these: http://www.hitchsafe.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; You said y...

AAR - carrying the G26

First, I want to thank everyone for the responses and advice. I've been reading this, and it's led me to search for reviews of better gun belts than the Cabela's Double Duty. I'm of the opinion that I'm not going to even look at anything without an internal stiffener (whether it's Kydex or whatever...

Some peoples put in a NY1 Trigger Spring and the 3.5# Connector. All glock OEM parts, but what it does is remove that 'brick wall' you hit when taking up the slack on switch. Some people like that smoothness, some don't. I prefer the stock Glock trigger Thanks Unorthodox! This is more along the lin...

The only mod on the only Glock I'd ever own would be a Lone Wolf slide for 10mm, maybe a barrel. I'm pretty sure the consensus with glocks is "Dont Fuck with Them" I'm looking less for main part changes and more for the different options for the trigger springs / connectors. Such as how will the tr...

New guy here from Coastal SC

Is there any meetups or events or anything? No chapters that I know of. I would almost be interested in starting one up, but the wife and I might be moving in the next six months and we have a baby on the way. Seems like too much of a commitment. That wouldn't stop me from joining if someone else w...

I have all the photo documentation covered. Everything is stored on my computer, backed up to dropbox and my dropbox is backed up into a network drive. I also just put everything into MyGunDB which is stored on my computer and backed up in dropbox. I'll have to work on the USB Stick to get all of th...

Insurance Claim for Firearms

I had a long drive this weekend with plenty of things to run through my head and I got to thinking about what would happen if a firearm was stolen from my home. I know I am covered under my homeowners policy and I also have some coverage through the NRA, but if one of my guns were stolen, I put in a...

Listeria outbreak in cantaloups!

It kinda freaks me out because my wife is pregnant and that's one of the things that can easily kill the baby. That's why she is not supposed to eat cold lunch meat.

Government Emergency Telecommunications Service (GETS)

It's kinda nice to see that they have something like this out there, but I would have thought it would be more automated. Eg every call from this government phone number gets priority.

Then again, who knows if this is a back up to a primary system like how people carry phone cards and cell phones...
