They are cheap. I keep them everywhere because why not. I also keep farro rods everywhere too because why not. I posted a pic of a bic in that post what's in your fire kit thread :clownshoes: My actual chance of being in need of fire to survive day to day: not much more than zero. My hiking kit cont...

Lowers really seem to be as low as you'll likely see right now. Mags too. Lowers are well under $100 and you can find mags under $10. Ammo isn't bad either. Just sayin

New trailer is out, showing speeder bikes, at at's, vader, milenium falcon, x wings, tie fighters, and boba fett (yesssss) Graphics look clean and from what I gather there is a campaign and multipl...

Dude I'm the gear whore from hell, but the best thing I did was just go to a sporting goods store and buy a big sports duffle bag (mine's adidas I think). Doesn't look retarded going to the car and back, and it holds shit!

aimsurplus sent out an email w the glock magpul mags in stock shipped for $15something each (sold out now). I'd spend that on some training mags. Would rather find them for $12 ea at a store though.

Brush off dirt or wet cloth works good too. Honestly, I'm on my third pair of merrell boots and shoes (various) and I just wear them til the smell gets too bad. They hold up really well and are relatively inexpensive. Just wear the hell out of them and if they get really muddy hose them off. They wo...

Re: Thinking about a gear review thread for old stuff.
I can dig it. I think a lot of us here do buy new toys all the time (me included) but also have some old fav's that we won't let go of. There are probably equal number of people who ( are smarter and ) don't buy the new thing all the time. I see a lot of thrift shop find type threads and I thi...

I love gators! Especially when I actually remember to bring them  To that end, I have 2 pairs. I keep one set in the car in the event I forget to pack them the night before AND remember them before I get on the trail  (same thing with micro spikes). Mostly I forget because the trail heads...
