Walmart clearance on miscellaneous camping/survival items. This one's YMMV, folks. Nothing earth shattering, but since Walmart often is the best price to begin with, this makes a normally good deal just a little sweeter. Clearance items include various Mountain House meals, firestarters, Coleman sil...

Re: AR15 for Home defense

The AR was my very first firearm. Ironically, I got it because it was the only gun I could afford. I was post-divorce, incredibly cash strapped and just getting into prepping. I realized I could buy an AR on the installment plan by building it myself: get the lower receiver via FFL the first month, ...

Re: New O.F. here

Regular oil in my Beeman break barrel actually ignites and sends the pellet supersonic. When it does that its about as loud as my .22! That's seriously interesting. I wonder what a drop of diesel fuel in the cup of a pellet would do? Only need 234psi to ignite it. My break barrel is suppo...

Is your Benjamin the 397? That always struck me as a good post SHTF tool for hunting small game. Basically a PCP with it's own air pump built in. There's a very substantial thread here on airguns. It might be in the "Other weapons" subforum. I don't see any markings on it but it's a least 40 years ...

According to a microbiologist the novel corona virus originated in bats and then was transfered to a snake before entering a human. Can't find the video so no link.

Coleman Guide Series dual fuel two burner stove - $67.00 ships free with Prime. We used Kerosene in dad's old one IIRC, but this one says it'll take propane or unleaded gasoline. What does cooking with unleaded gas smell like? I might get this if cooking with gas indoors isn't an issue. As anyone u...

Welcome to ZombieSquad. I agree with PistolPete that making peace with your neighbors during a crisis is infinitely preferable to shooting them; to say nothing of the legalities of the matter. It's a lot harder to justify using deadly force to protect your swimming pool than it would be to protect t...
