Re: Got my AR, shot my AR, now for the questions.

25 will get you on paper at 100 (or 300), but you're going to be something like 5" high at 100, around 1" or less high at 300 (with M855). Re: ammo

Personally, i try not to get under the "rule of thousand", meaning that i try to keep 1000+ rounds around for my two main calibers: .223 and .357 (both out of a rifle) I usually have more, but 1000 rounds is when i stock up again no matter what. Currently, i´m working that a bit up as i want to have...

Re: Got my AR, shot my AR, now for the questions.

Huh?

I was always under the impression that a 25 yard zero with .223 = being zeroed again at 200 yards due to the ballistic curve.....? (that´d depend on ammo too of course) but roughly?

At least that´s what i always seemed to read?

Re: Items of Barter... What do you store to trade later?

You could still go back to the guy who you got your wabbits from and trade back a buck and a doe for a different buck n doe to get the genetic diversity in the future. Might even pack a few more does and let them get impregnated by various bucks of the other guy for a fee.

500 rounds of the 75gr Hornady TAP....

yikes! Yes these are actually THAT expensive here.... I´ll better consider this a lifetime supply...

Re: Limiting your Cache to Three Calibers...

http://www.ar15.com/media/images/xAvatar/70693.GIF For me, it´d be .223 .357 .22lr .223 and .357 is what i´d most likely bring, .22´s could be shot out of my .223 with an "adapter cartridge" that includes a translator from centerfire to rimfire. (there´s no rimfire conversion available for my .223)...

Re: Guess who´s getting a free first aid training....

Hi y´all! Sorry for checking back in late! As for mouth to mouth: we have those face masks here to help minimize spreading of disease while doing mouth to mouth. I have no qualms about giving a mouth to mouth (on 95% of people i guess). I have them in my small Bug out FAK as well as in the (mandator...

Uh -ah! Thanks Echo for the reminder Vid!! Set me straight again on the times of heart massage/forced breath thing.... I still gotta say that an actual Defi//AED is a rare to noenexistant thing here in the average first responder package, it´s something that the actual EMT´s carry in their Ambulance...

Re: Is 1200$ a good price for a H&K mark 23

Wow. My immediate response would´ve been that 1200$ is a horrible price.... (when you can get a Glock for 450$) Not trying to talk you out of your H&K if you really like it, then you should sure go for it! (And i´m totally aware that a Glock is NOT for everyone, and you should go with what you like ...

That´s about what i´m trying to learn (again) It´s not like i´m totally unknowledgeable, but i´ve forgotten a lot since my last training and aside from (sometimes severe, a co worker lost half of his finger to a machine a year ago and i was there.... we found the finger.... but that was three weeks ...

Ohgoddamnit Azrael!! Now i want one of those and you´re guilty beyond any doubt for it! But as far as practical muzzleloaders go, i think you´d be better off searching for, like a double barrel 12 or even 10 gauge if you can find it. Also look into the Pedersoli Howdah Pistol grip double b...

Re: Guess who´s getting a free first aid training....

Certified EMT would be probably calling it too much. It´s a certified EMT that will teach us, but we´ll not hold any title like that afterwards. But what´s more important is that the ones participating will gather a bunch of first aid knowledge they either didn´t know or have forgotten. It´s more of...
