Re: Foldable, Lightweight, Self Cocking: New SlingXBow!

Very cool  A buttstock btw. wouldn´t be neccesary because of the recoil, but with a buttstock you simply can shoot the Thing that much more accurately because you will have a steadier hold. I´d really really like to see you put a buttstock on it and a RDS .... and most importantly: shoot it ou...

Re: Good starter rifle?

Note that I specified .357 Mag snubby revolver, in which the short sight radius, hot load, and heavy trigger make for a great way to turn new shooters off or give them terrible habits. The carbines I have no experience with, and all I know of the wheelguns is that I can pick up a 3" .357 Mag for $2...

Re: Good starter rifle?

:) We're not recommending Rossi 357mag to new shooters anymore?!?!? What then, a 44mag? I don't know a ton about bolt guns, but yeah, I do know that I don't like the Mosin. For $150, I'd rather have a cheap scatterbeast. I´d totally recommend the Rossi .357. (with one caveat: it´d be best if you can...

Re: SHTF in Argentina again soon? Prize freeze on foodstuff

hhhhmmmmm..... Now that you say it, i seem to recall a post by him saying so..... Good for him! (hopefully) This price control stuff will likely only hurt people down there because it may hurt availability in certain areas i imagine... And that´s exactly what i was getting at. I think for them, it m...

Re: Does a small calculator belong in a BOB?

First thing that came to mind is first aid kit item. Many drugs are given based on avg weight in kilos. Unless your area is currently using the metric system a calculator would be handy. If you actually have taken an EMT or higher level class, you will have learned these conversions or at least rou...

I see them in pawn shops now and then... gets me thinking. Never shot a break action, any chance of reloading without taking eyes off target? Maybe inside of 3 or 4 seconds with practcie??? check out this short 3min. Video of Clint Smith to give you an idea: I think with some practice, you could do...

I would own a Mini/Ranch rifle if i could just for the heck of it. But it´s strictly VERBOTEN in Austria just like Garands and M1 Carbines. We can have AR15´s and AUG´s though. And SBR´s to boot.

Re: Manual Rifles Chambered in 5.56mm

The Remington 7615 actually is chambered in 5.56 from the get go. 1-9 Twist. I have one. Not only popular in Australia, but in Austria as well. (7615 = 18+ Background check / AR15 = 21 + gun permit) ETA: some will not run very well on steel cased ammo if you operate them fast. Mine for example hates...
