Cold Related Food Shortages? Transportation Problems?

Did some quick food shopping yesterday. Just a few things for dinner and cat food. Hit local Aldi's first. Seemed kinda empty then I usually see it. There were only three 5# bags of sugar out on the floor. If you don't know Aldi's, this is a place that brings out sugar by the skid...couple a hundred...

Re: First Handgun

Take at least half of what you have and spend it on rental guns or ammo for borrowed guns and then start saving again. $100 invested in trigger time could easily save you money and aggravation. +1 While I'm not unhappy with any of my pistols, I would like to have had some "playtime" with them befor...

Re: Hurricane Warnings Coming Sooner

Charlie is the one that comes to my mind too. Everyone running around getting ready here (Tampa Bay area also), then he changes goes ashore down south. I know folks that went to Orlando to get away from Charlie's "predicted" Tampa Bay strike, only to get stuck there when Charlie really knocked Orlan...

Re: Florida Members - A little help with gardening here?

One important thing, lot's of Florida is outside the "normal" growing seasons. Down here on west coast, central Florida...tomatoes are spring and fall crops. Not summer stuff like I'm used to up in PA. As for fruit trees, you'll have to ask some locals about stuff that's not citrus. Soil conditions ...

Re: Surviving the coldest winter since 77

Button up all. From what I keep hearing on the different news channels and various weather services...this isn't going to stop anytime soon. Several Artic fronts are supposed to keep charging deep into the U.S. for the next couple weeks. While it's uncomfortable here in central Florida it's not as b...

Re: Thoughts on S&W M&P 15/22

Im looking into buying a AR-15 may I ask why your getting the 22? Any particular reason? Basically....cheaper range shooting :D But also expanding my PAW collection. My nephew and I have no problem throwing 400 to 500 rounds down range 'bout every time we go shooting. While 9mm isn't that expensive...

Thoughts on S&W M&P 15/22

Expanding to a second caliber and going with .22lr Presently 3 pistols and a carbine in 9mm I've looked around and like what I read on the S&W M&P 15 in .22 on other boards. Have found them in stock for alittle over $400 to $550, various config's Anyone know about these? **Will be looking at a Ruger...

Hi from Florida.

As for the ZS Chapters, I believe you have to be an actual member of one of the Chapters before you can post in those forums.
I believe those are "member only" forums.
I might be wrong.
Kinda new myself, and there isn't a Florida Chapter (yet)

Re: Armageddon Week

I have my DVR set to record this show.
Most of what is listed for the rest of the week I've already seen a few times.

Tuesday is also the first episode of a new season of "Life After People".
I liked the first season. Have high hopes for this season.

"The last time doctors saw him, he was walking out of the sanitarium into south Florida's soupy heat. " And he left the hospital in July of this year. I too live in Florida and first I've heard of this was the front page story in the Sunday St. Pete Times, but I didn't get to read the article until...

Dupe thread- http://zombiehunters.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=56702 Not really this is asking what each of you would do in the situation. WOW. Ten acres and your only 19. That's great. I got you by almost 30 years and all I own is inside my rented apartment and sitting on my parking spot :( Bonanacrom makes a great point. BTW, why wouldn't the person planning to do it alone be able to change his mind if approached by a like minded individual? Probably the same reason guys don't listen to their wife's direction when driving. Because they think they are right. :D Your plans and my plans are probably not be the same/si...
