Re: "Walking Dead" Cable Series

While a bit over-exaggerated, maybe its a Judo throw called a Tomoe nage. That's exactly what Michonne did. I've used that throw more than once and it's amazing how far you can throw someone with that technique. A variation of Tomoe Nage is to maintain your grip on uke as you execute the throw, and...

Re: $1,000 in preps?

Consider getting a Utah out of state carry permit rather than a Florida. The Utah permit covers you in more states than the Florida.

Re: "Walking Dead" Cable Series

I think we are forgetting some semi-important details. Way back in season one Morgan referred to "the fever" which turned his wife into a walker. That would mean probably viral and more than likely airborne. Remember, as Dr. Jenner told Rick, "everyone one is infected." So that means a highly conta...

Re: "Walking Dead" Cable Series

I'm really suprised that they haven't set up some fougasse along the perimeter to take care of the hoard of walkers gathering on the outer fence. Well I definitely had to look that up ('fougasse'). Someone in the prison group is bound to have the military experience to do that but it might be disco...

Re: "Walking Dead" Cable Series

I'm thinking Ebola based on how quick "Harry Potter" went from feeling ill at Story Time to dying later that night and turning; bleeding from the orifices like the eyes, nose, ears. Not sure about the infection source, though water (where DO they get it from?) is a likely source. Rick should have c...

For those that have never fired a Desert Eagle, you have no idea what you're missing. In both .44 mag and .357 mag it's accurate, with low recoil and a relatively high magazine capacity. BUT.....it's VERY heavy!

Re: First Confrontation While Open Carrying

The following is an example of how some police officers try to cloud legal procedure and case law with "concerns", "public safety" and "common practices". This is also a textbook example on how to "shut-down" the officer's bullshit. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jfdEbe7e9GE Notice as soon as the OC...

Re: First Confrontation While Open Carrying

West Virginia has preemption also. I did some Googling, and it appears that there are a few places with weapons restrictions in place that were grandfathered in when preemption was passed (Charleston, South Charleston, and Dunbar). Martinsburg has weapons restrictions in place that are being challe...

Re: First Confrontation While Open Carrying

I had a conversation with my attorney today, and I brought up the subject of Terry Stops, Reasonable Suspicion, and open carry. I even showed him this thread. Here's the condensed version of what he had to say: Was the OP detained? Based upon the information presented by the OP, he WAS detained. Re...

I'm just trying to point out that your emotional involvement in this issue is impairing your ability to see things for what they are. Nobody is gloating dude, if I'd been wrong I'd have eaten my crow like a man. Nothing emotional on my part. I got one fact wrong. We'll see how this turns out. A ver...

Re: First Confrontation While Open Carrying

I know there are some cops that prefer to err on the side of caution, some that are just plain dicks and some that are incompetent. Some of us err on the side of the constitution and the law. Some are just plain dicks. You don't know what kind of cop it is that is approaching you. Would it be safe ...

Find yourself a rucksack big enough to pack all of your stuff internally. You'll lose half of what you have pretty quick if you hang it externally as you have it now.

Re: First Confrontation While Open Carrying

The Supreme Court has ruled on this issue and that ends it. Legally. Except that the OP wasn't detained, stopped, frisked, restricted, or violated. That kinda renders your point moot. But you keep pushing your political agenda bro, and while you're at it why not advertise your particular agendas fo...
