Re: poly undershirts: UA vs. spam vs. Duluth vs. Walmart etc

Hit up your local good will or equivalent, I find those often. Adidas, spam, walmart, other shoe brands, even gi stuff on occasion... at great prices ($2 - $5 usually). I have maybe 10 or 12 I have bought there over the past year.

if you can abide the shitty takedown process. (this space to wait for a bunch of people to say it's not that bad and whine about kids today) Nope, it kinda sucks... Probably don't do it often enough for that reason  ...First time I put it back together, everything clicked except the hammer, n...

Re: The Great Dying [Youtube amateur serie]

Eh, music too loud, unnecessary loud clanging and smashing by a guy who should know better, vague allusions meant to point at back story kinda seemed too obvious... Similar to other utube stuff, not in the same class as walking dead, but tastes vary

Re: Today I killed a zombie

I was in a very similar situation a long time ago. Luckily for me, the animal was so weak it was obvious there was no danger, so only putting it out of it's misery was a concern. I did sort of a direct pressure on the carotids (or where I assumed the carotids were), while petting it's head... and it...

Re: Best way to carry a Samuri Sword

It is, but sometimes we try to help through impolite taunts  ...But you should know, people do show up here (and elsewhere) with the idea they will literally use a katana (often a cheap one) in a defensive/survival situation, having little or no training with it. So many of us (as I did) jump ...

.50 pump action lexan hex nut launcher

So this is my version of Joerg Sprave's 10mm hex nut launcher http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jMuI634RAYI" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; only made of Lexan, aluminum and oak... and totally different in every dimension. And it took me months to build and troubleshoot, while Joerg built...

Re: Has This Ever Happened to Your AAAs?

Didn't read all posts, so sorry if repeating. Usually when this happens to my stuff, its just the residue and corrosion on the tabs that stop it from working... I usually use fine grit sand paper to clean off the tabs, or if they are hard to reach, scrape with a dental tool... Then maybe apply a tou...

Luckily we also all have the right to say just how awful it looks... On a slightly different note, it's kind of amazing (to me at least) how similar in size/function the below weapon is, to the... black one (see, didn't even say "really ugly" one), yet the Obrez looks beautiful (at least to me)... B...

Plus it's not chambered in 45 lc/410, so it's a no-go as a little brother to my judge.

...wait, is it maybe chambered in 410?

Re: Busted Handle... Suggestions?

I have redone a few, the last was a machete. I made slightly small scales from hardwood, then epoxied/crewed them on, then wrapped in nylon cord (about half dia. of para) 2 layers, thin bodied epoxy between layers except for the last one, so the string is still grippy... A little of the wood sticks ...

A warning in the title of any unfinished fiction would be nice- "WARNING, unfinished, no posts by author in 60 days" or something... Then that would be on my story too... which IS going to get finished damnit! ...I swear!!!

Re: General Fitness Discussion thread

One thing I have recently added to my little workout routines is a small soft weight ball. It's maybe 8" dia and a soft underfilled rubber type, mine is 8lb. You can easily hold it with one hand and throw it back and forth in front of you (chest/biceps)... I try to orbit my head with it as fast as I...

Damn... I'm totally lost on the brace thing... Undead, awesome pistol! But wtf is the "brace" about? If it is specifically to shoot with one hand... why not use two, as you would anytime shooting a pistol, that you want to hit a target with?

That harbor freight stuff doesn't block as much sun as the "sail shade" stuff (what I assume you mean) there are lots of types, all pretty similar...
