Re: Making Bio-diesel out of Zombies or soap??? Any Thoughts?

I don't think I would want to wash or even fertilize plants with the bodies of the risen then re-deadified. How would you make sure that whatever animated them the first time was truly gone/destroyed in the soap making process? And how would you keep it out of the food if used as a fertilizer? I thi...

Re: SUV BOVs and keeping your stuff safe

If you haven't discovered them yet, you have some hidden storage in your GC. However, you didn't say what year yours was. In my 94 (any many later models) the rear passenger seat fold down to reveal a little bit of storage area. I keep a large FAK, water, and various other small things there. Also,...

Re: SUV BOVs and keeping your stuff safe

Some SUVs have tonneau like covers for the back part. Just keep your truck looking like a mess with a bunch of old newspapers and garbage and no one will think there is anything valuable under the trash. Heh, good idea with the trash. I used to keep my old S-10 Blazer pretty messy until the g...

Re: SUV BOVs and keeping your stuff safe

Windows are pretty dark right now.. at least in the back, but anything not black/dark blue can be seen. I want to avoid any major tearing up of the back end as I do use it a lot for camping. Which adds the additional feature of lockable, bolted down, but removable.

The BBQ idea is a good one tho.

SUV BOVs and keeping your stuff safe

I drive a Jeep Grand Cherokee as my daily driver. Currently I am driving up to 54 miles each way to work in San Fran. As we all know, this isn't the most geologically stable chunk of land out there. So of course I want to carry a V-GHB to get me home should the Jeep not have a valid path... as in al...

Re: I ate an old MRE today!

How old was it? Those things last a looooong time. A coworker of mine who fought in the Vietnam War (late 60's or early 70's was when he was there IIRC what he said) said that he and his fellow troops were being fed MREs made during the Korean War  . I wasn't aware they made MRE's in Korea.....

Re: Another office debate: Knocked down or falling down

Wasent even sure were to post this since it seems stupid to me but about 4 of my employees disagree with me on this. We were discussing side arms, and I mentioned that pistol....name escapes me now...its a revolver that can shoot eithe 45.cal bullets or 410 shells....this lead to an arguement on th...

Re: Hurray for bowel disease!

I am not sure if UC is the same or just similar to IBS (Irratible bowel Syndrome), but the symptoms seem the same. I went through a lot of the same issues you did, plus I got "Now don't be alarmed, but it could also be Stomache cancer". After lots of testing that kept ruling stuff out, I heard from ...

Re: Packs: How many CC is "too small," "too big," or just right?

I am not experienced enough in BOB build out to comment on the CC size. But if you can fit everything into the bigger bag and have room left over, it means you have that room to hold anything you may pick up along the way out that you might be able to use. Or maybe use the extra room for lighter wei...

Re: pistol magazines loaders

iv never found loading a mag to be such a chore i needed a tool. iv load 500+ rounds at a time before. not that hard. It's not about how hard it is... it's about my time being valuable. Especially at an indoor range that doesn't allow you to come in with full magazines. If I can load up a magazine ...

Re: pistol magazines loaders

The Butler Creek one looks like a rip off of the Maglula. I have the one from Maglula and swear by it. If you are loading more than one or two magazines at a time it pays for itself right away. It also works really well on that last round that sometimes doesn't want to go into the mag when the sprin...

Re: Surviving Disaster: Mall Shooting

Something to consider here as well is that in this situation, you don't know who is the criminal and who is the armed citizen trying to "protect people". Obviously the show had set the stage so you know who is who. But in reality, you don't know. You can't just shoot the guy with the gun, because he...
