Re: Diabetes Bag and Camping Kit

Nice kit. I'm not a diabetic, so I don't have a practical angle of view, but I can't find anything that's missing. A ballpen and a small pad, maybe, to protocoll your dosage and glucose level, if that's of any use to you. Just out of interest: mg/dl or mmol/l? Have you got any B-ketone test strips f...

Oh god, she looks so damn tasty! You are one lucky mf, I'll be drooling the whole night, thanks. With it beeing small, that's pretty close to the largest of Roe Deer I get. Wish there where some real deer in my area. And good to see there's somebody else wearing gloves while dressing, I thought it w...

Re: So, how much ammo do you have stockpiled?

For the sake of discussion, could you add some more please? I mean, after many of the posts here stating/claiming/revealing thousands of rounds, and then you stating just 15, there are all manner of assumptions a person could make regarding your statement because you haven't explained any of the ci...

The first thing that sprung to my mind was: "Did this guy have any children? Because if he didn't, that's Darwin Award material right there." I have a sneaky suspicion that the pilot was like "Uh.....no way! That dude NEVER said to come back for him.... NEVER!" (runs off to shred incriminating docum...

Also, you will find people will start edging away from you because you smell like male goat. Uh, no kidding. It's glandular, hormone controlled, and starts with pubescence. Sometimes even our six-month olds would smell. When horny, the male would additionally start to spray himself with urine in or...

I can say without putting myself at risk whatsoever, it's nothing worth stealing.

15 rounds 8x57IS

Jepp, 15. 3 clips for the 98k, to be precise.

I did a class on providing mass shelter when I served in civil protection / disaster relief. The Red Cross' take is "obtain half a roll per person per day."
I asked if that wasn't a little much.
The instructor gazed at me and stated "There is _NO_SUCH_THING_ as to much toilet paper."

Re: Unexpected ways your preps saved the day

The neighborhood my parents live in arranges a little block party every two years, which usually includes a sidewalk café with home-baked cake, some lawn games like horseshoes and such, and of course the obligatory barbeque, beer and music in the evening. All proceeds are donated towards charity. We...

Re: What I'm working with...(literally)

Other states adopted the concept of one MP5 per vehicle as well. NRW, for instance.
To be fair, they don't do "patrol rifles" over here, the SMG fills that role.

(The Bavarians do keep a few HK G3 at hand, though. For excaped cattle and such.)

Hmmmm, that's hot. I never saw a rail version, kinda like it. The VFG ruins the nice, slender line, though. Cool! I saw some MP-5's recently; the police at the airport in Frankfurt, Germany were carrying them. A major German gun mag recently called the MP5 "the police's workhorse". That's pret...

Re: Your experiences with Hot Chilli's and why you eat them?

Oh god, I love the hot stuff. There is nothing better than a nice chili con carne with a 10% Habanero content. :P A friend of mine even spices up his Döner Kebabs with a good dose of 2 Mio SHU pepper spray. I don't think he any longer tastes anything though, it's rather for showing of when girls are...

Moar cheap bullpups. Seriously, I love the design, but I can't plop 2 grand down every time a new one comes out! I second that. Thought about buying an AUG Z, but you can have a .308 with a high-end scope for the same money :x Things I wish 'they' made: - decent, accurate, yet affordable Dr...

Ran across this site whilst surfing. I was impressed with the "accessibility" (positive approach, not fear-based, not ultra technical or tacticool, female friendly). The Survival Mom . This is exactly the type of prepping that has to be communicated to the public. It's awesome. Another site I like ...

Re: I suck at starting I.V.'s! Help!

What helped me was using a cuff instead of a tourniquet. - place cuff on upper arm just like you always do - pump to a pressure over venous but below arterial blood pressure - watch veins swell - puncture (the vein, I mean, not the cuff) - et voilà! I do better with that technique. Nobody else here ...

Re: Hey Non-Americans! What types of firearms can you get?

Just to a few things to add for Germany (correct me if I'm mistaken): There are other reasons for having a gun ownership license: - a collectors license (does only apply for a certain theme, like "Eurpean infantry firearms from 1789 to 1945") - being a fireams dealer or gunsmith - having legally own...

Re: Would you voluntarily take the H1N1 Vaccine?

I remember when we got raped by a very infectious form of cunjunctivitis, we had to close down the entire battallion and disinfect every single thing. Ugh. That sounds... unpleasent. We got hit by a nice, rapidly spreading ringworm, presumably via our communal showers as well. Two shifts of public ...

G'morning Zombie Squad

Well, good morning. I'm Krustofski. Another German dude, I guess. Besides being German (which only qualifies as an occupation if said occupation is of Poland), I'm also a wannabe egghead, and part-time wannabe doctor. That is to say, I'm a grad student of biology and Paramedic. Oh, and also ugly, a ...
